Has there ever been a time in your life when someone literally made you feel so bad about yourself that you just wanted to crawl under a rock and never come out? I think that at one time or another, it's happened to all of us. There will come a time in your life when you feel that you need to make a stand against someone who is always condescending. Haven't you ever met that one person that just has to dig, dig, dig and make others miserable? Don't take this lying down ladies....if you do, this person will continue to taunt you for a long time....why? They think they have control, they think they are tough, and they think that it earns them respect.....My thoughts? Simply Bullshit! No one deserves to be treated with disrespect....I don't care who you are. Many times, and in most cases they are people who have a superiority complex that can be irritating and aggravating over time. They think that they know it all and other people are all below them are not at par with them - may it be in terms of looks, achievements, skills, position within the company, financial capability or educational attainment.
If you are a constant target of such condescension, a few well-chosen words can do the trick of bringing such a person a peg or two down and leave her gaping. Here are some ways to deliver classy insults. I don't mess around, just cut to the chase. My grandmother used to tell me "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!" Lesson well learned. I was naive at one time, and I let people walk all over me. Why? I was too nice. I still am nice, however now I took a new approach to life and to those who don't know what the word "respect" means or how to use it. They say "Be Careful What You Wish For" .....those who sit on their pedestal making others suffer are bound to get stung by a bee sooner or later. I don't know why people act as such, but what I do know is that what goes around does come back around......
1. Do some snooping! You don't think that you can? Sure you can....modern technology makes it sooooooo easy for anyone to find out anything.....Check out the background of the person who thinks she is so clever that she cannot stand to be with someone of lesser stature, that is, according to her standards. It is best to know your enemy so that you can strike where it will hurt the most.
2. Work on the weakest point in the condescending person's armor. Hitt'em where it hurts! Most of the time this type of person is hiding something by presenting a different persona to the world. That 'something' is what you need to uncover!Your classy insult should be something personal that will take the focus away from you and put the person in the spot.
3. Be very knowledgeable about the subject so that your classy insults will be delivered with a big impact and do some serious damage. Go back to all the times that the condescending person has attacked you and pinpoint the areas that she attacked. Make sure that you know everything about these areas so that you will be more intelligent, credible and knowledgeable than her. Then devise clever and concise retorts that will clearly pinpoint her shortcomings.
Just remember, you are the bigger person here, and in time someone will bring her/him down to ground level, and they'll see how terrible they treated you....
They may think that they have the upper hand but it takes two to play that game. Karma.....ever heard of it?
I'd like to call this doing a little "preventative mmaintenance"......you are taking care of the issue at hand before it happens to anyone else. Take your gloves off and don't be afraid to get a little dirty.....this person didn't think twice about doing this to you!
