What Is Unconditional Love?

Day after day people ask, "what is unconditional love?" Many people have it confused with other things so lets set the record straight...shall we? Unconditional love is given without any expectations, limitations or any other definitions. In other words when you love someone unconditionally you do so without expectations that the sentiment will be returned, without placing restrictions or conditions under which the love will be expressed and without establishing defining parameters for when, where or why the love is felt or expressed. There are many examples of relationships where the love is unconditional. The love between romantic partners, parent and child, siblings and even friends can all be examples of unconditional love. The most important factors of unconditional love are that it is completely free of restrictions or expectations.

In giving unconditional love, it is important that you have no expectations of reciprocation. You offer your love freely and do not demand that the feeling be returned. Unconditional love is about you and your feelings and does not involve trying to create the same feelings in another person. While you may hope and wish that the feeling is returned, truly unconditional love does not hold any expectations that a mutual feeling exists. If you hold the expectation that your love for the other person is going to eventually be reciprocated and your love endures based on this expectation then it is not truly unconditional love. One example of unconditional love without any expectations is the love between a parent and child. A parent may love their child unconditionally and while the feeling may be reciprocated by the child, the parent’s love will endure regardless of how the child feels. Your unconditional love exists even if the other person does not have reciprocal feelings towards you or any intentions of ever having such feelings.

Unconditional love also exists without any restrictions or limitations under which the feeling will remain. Truly unconditional love endures any transgression imaginable. When you give your unconditional love, you do so knowing that the actions or words of the other person will not result in this loving feeling being revoked. Even intentional acts meant to hurt you are overlooked when they are inflicted by someone with whom you have an unconditional love. I think that we have all experienced this at one time or another in our lives. Also, unconditional love is not used to attempt to control the actions of another. Telling someone that they will lose your love if they do things you do not approve of is not unconditional love. Romantic partners often have a feeling of unconditional love. When this exists in the relationship, neither partner uses their love to control the other or threatens to revoke the love if their demands are not met.

Truly unconditional love is given without any defining parameters. When unconditional love is given, it is done so without the understanding that the love will only endure as long as certain conditions exist. Unconditional love exists without thought of setting definitions or other limitations on the love surviving. Siblings are good examples of unconditional love that exists without any definitions. While siblings may fight throughout their lifetime there is a bond that is present always and is never challenged. Siblings may become angry with each other but their unconditional love transcends all boundaries and survives through countless arguments and misunderstandings.

Those who have an unconditional love for another always want the best for the one they love and allow them to be free to seek what will truly make them happy. Unconditional love involves wanting the best for the person you love and understanding that they need to be free and make their own choices to achieve this level of happiness. While you may believe that you know what is best for your loved one, it’s important to let them learn things on their own and pursue opportunities and experiences that they believe will make them happy. They may end up making wrong choices but if you love them unconditionally you will always be there for them and will not judge their actions.

Unconditional love is truly free of any expectations, limitations or definitions. This is a love that holds your loved ones best interests and happiness above all other things including your own happiness. When you offer your love unconditionally it is important to realize that you have no right to expect that your feelings will be returned or that your loved one will act and speak according to guidelines you set forth.

Body Language...What is Yours Saying?

Can you read someone simply by viewing their body language? If you cannot, you need to learn the task and seek the "How To's" as this is a great measuring tool to have. Being able to read body language can give your clues as to whether someone has a romantic interest in you or not. By accurately reading their body language you will be able to determine whether or not the other person is feeling comfortable around you and eager to get to know you better.

Understanding body language is also significant because it can ensure that you are not unintentionally sending the wrong messages out to other people. Body language can often be both subtle and subconscious but if you are aware of your body language you can make a conscious effort to make sure that you are sending an accurate message to others with your own body language.

The art of reading body language really isn’t difficult and once you are familiar with a few guidelines you will come to realize that understanding body language is very intuitive. Correctly reading body language will ensure that you don’t miss out on approaching potential partners who are sending you signs that they are interested in pursuing a romance with you.

Did you know that how close a person stands to you can be one of the most important body language clues to whether someone is interested in you romantically or not? Their proximity to you can be directly proportional to their romantic interest in you. In other words the closer they stand to you the more interested they are in you romantically and the farther they stand away from you the less interested they are in pursuing a romance with you. In general the two foot rule applies. This means that if a person does not get closer than two feet to you, they aren’t interested in a romance with you. This distance is significant because a length of two feet is approximately an arms length and standing this far from you makes the other person feel safe that you will not reach out and physically touch them. This subtle use of body language to avoid closeness with you is a clear sign of a lack of romantic interest. Conversely, if the person stands closer to you and within arms reach they are not apprehensive about being touched by you and are sending you a signal that they are interested in you. The intimacy of standing close to someone is a clear body language indication that you have a romantic interest in that person.

Another body language clue that someone is interested in you is that they begin to copy your own body language. This often happens subconsciously but if you notice someone mimicking your behaviors it is a clear sign that they are interested in you. Body positioning can also be a form of body language that can either convey romantic interest or disinterest. When speaking to someone, if their body and particularly their torso is turned towards you and leaning closer to you this is an indication of romantic interest. This body positioning leaves you unguarded and vulnerable which indicates trust in the other person. If this trust were not in existence you would not put yourself in such a vulnerable position and would be more likely to stand with your body turned slightly away from the other person and leaning away from them. Standing in a way that positions your body in an open position towards another person is a clear example of body language that expresses a romantic interest. Here is a great book to read if you are not sure what someones body language is saying....

What Should You Look for in a Lifetime Partner?

Everyone wants the happy ever after. Everyone wants to live a good life. How important is finding the 'right' partner? Do you feel that finding the right partner a key ingredient in your recipe for a happy life? While the search can seem elusive, it gets much easier if you learn to focus on the qualities that are fundamental to forging healthy and positive relationships: character, background, personality, and chemistry. Before you say I do...make certain that you validate the intentions of all parties involved. Now, I know what your thinking...that sounds so legal and serious...hey, a life time partnership is serious and is something that shouldn't be entered into lightly.

Character
1. Assess their availability. For a loving relationship, both parties must be available for love. If one of you is already involved with another person, you're already off to a difficult start! Circumstances may change with time or you may need to look elsewhere.
2. Establish trust. Trust is basic to any stable relationship. You deserve a relationship that enhances your peace of mind, rather than creating new anxieties.
3. Look at how they manage conflicts. It's okay to disagree as long as you respect each other's positions. Arguments can even bring you closer together when you both aim for solutions that satisfy both parties rather than seeking victory.

Background
1. Resolve past issues. Regardless of what hardships a person has faced, focus on what they did to overcome adversity and challenges.
2. Discuss previous relationships. People have different comfort levels when it comes to talking about past lovers. Still, it's important to be aware of any patterns and know how to manage them.
3. Learn from each other's family history. Our family experiences often have a profound influence in shaping our lives and our reactions to new events. For example, knowing how your potential partner felt about their parent's divorce might help you understand them better.
4. Find common ground on money matters. Mingling finances is a big step. Get a sense of how compatible you are when it comes to making decisions about spending and saving.
  • Many successful couples have different perspectives on economics, but they make it work by balancing each other's strengths and weaknesses.
5. Know each other's expectations about parenting. Parenting is one issue where it's very difficult to make compromises. Before making a commitment, clarify whether you're on the same page with wanting a big family or a family of two. If you want kids and they don't you might want to rethink this one because if you think you can change them into wanting a family...you are in for a long haul and a big let down.

Personality
1. Communicate. Constructive communication is the lifeline for any alliance. Communication skills can be improved with practice, but it's helpful to know each other's habits.
2. Have fun together. After all, you're looking for someone whose company you'll enjoy. If your girlfriend makes you laugh even during tax season, this is a good sign that you may have a future together.
3. Share common interests. Liking the same things will also help you feel more connected. Whether you love film festivals or camping, you can create meaningful experiences and happy memories that you both will treasure.

Chemistry
1. Hey,...let the sparks fly. Physical attraction is one of the greatest joys in life. Sure we find a person who is attractive to us a big deal. As long as all the other elements for a healthy relationship are in place, it's wonderful to find a mate who makes your heart race and your palms sweat.
2. Stay fit & healthy. If your partner leads a healthy lifestyle, you may be more likely to preserve that initial attraction. You might even be rewarded with having more years to spend together.
3. Take a balanced view of romance. It's great to keep romance alive so long as it's free from illusions. Passions will fluctuate over time, but your sense of commitment and affection can keep on growing through the years.

Finding that special someone is vital. We all appreciate feeling validated and having someone to share our happiness. Knowing what to look for pays off when you're looking for love.

Family, Stress, and the Holidays

The holidays are the time for giving and they present many opportunities to bond with family, and that's a good thing,...but this time of year can also present significant stress, particularly when family conflict arises. Some conflict can come from having to decide which relatives to see, if any. Here are some ways to divide up your time over the holidays and handle conflicts and holiday stress that may arise. So how do you 'de-stress' the holiday atmosphere?
The great thing about the holiday season...besides the gifts...is having the chance to spend valuable time with our loved ones, show our appreciation for one another and overall, give thanks.Holiday traditions are important in every family, regardless of religion or how you choose to observe the holiday season. They provide meaningful and cherished lifelong memories and more so, an opportunity to spend quality time together.Family traditions can be as simple as you make them, but even so, they can turn into stressful events, and they shouldn't. Here are some ways to relieve tension at the holidays and things you should expect;
  • Host Celebrations At Your House. If the stress of traveling each year is more than you'd like to handle, you may want to have family over to your home for the holidays. This is also a good solution when you have too many groups or relatives to take turns seeing: invite everyone to celebrate together, and you will get to see everyone more often. While this won't work in every situation, it can build bonds between groups of relatives that may not know one another very well.
  • Take Turns with Relatives. If you and your spouse both want to celebrate with your families of origin, if you're dealing with a divorce situation where not everybody wants to celebrate together or if you just have a lot of family, it can be stressful deciding who to see, and when. Taking turns is an easy solution. Then you can eventually see everybody.
  • Just Say No. If seeing family causes you great amounts of stress each year, it's OK to say no sometimes. Celebrating with just your partner or kids can be a wonderful alternative to seeing people who make you feel consistently stressed.
  • Be Prepared to Encounter a Little Conflict. If you usually have conflict when you get together with your family, it's a good idea to be prepared for it. I'm not suggesting that you go looking for trouble, but rather, approach the situation with a sense of realism. If your mother always criticizes your appearance or your brother always makes rude jokes, don't expect them to change their habits; just have a sense of humor about it and remind yourself what you love about them.
If stress consumes too much of you and your holiday spirit, you need to re-evaluate things, because it's supposed to be the time of year to celebrate, not pull one an others hair out in grandmas kitchen drinking eggnog. Remember what the true meaning of this special holiday is and why we celebrate it.If you have forgotten my friend, you need to get back to the basics.

Christmas and the holidays have a variety of meanings and depending on the family and their customs, we all celebrate a little differently. Regardless of your religion, or what holiday it is that you are celebrating, remember...family is what brings and keeps everyone together, so don't make it stressful.

Be happy, enjoy the season and be grateful for all that you have, for so many people don't have family and would give anything to be in your shoes right now. Be thankful and smile during the holidays and appreciate all that you have. What you have may seem like nothing to you, but for that one person that you may pass on the street, or in the employee cafeteria that you see everyday but never speak to, or that man or woman at church that doesn't have anyone to celebrate with and sits all alone year after year, that smile will mean the world to them. Give the gift that costs nothing, that doesn't need to be wrapped in fancy tissue or decorated boxes. Love one an other...for that my friend is a gift that is priceless.

Dating...It's all about Honesty and Integrity

Let’s talk a bit about dating, honesty and integrity today. Integrity is really related to honesty, and I think that integrity is really the benchmark of what determines whether you are a good or bad person. Now lets talk about lies and dating. They've always gone together like birds of a feather.  As sad a it is, lying has gotten even easier with the anonymity of online dating. So who's really lying on dating sites and what lies are they telling?

When I searched for the real facts I was crushed to think that you could not find a good person on a dating site, so I tried it myself. Truth is, most men walk the walk but surely do not talk the talk. When it comes to online dating, there is one cardinal truth that you must keep in mind - almost everyone out there is lying. This is not done purposely to misrepresent facts, but to build a profile that would impress the opposite sex and hence lead to success in the dating world.

My problem is this, what happens to the woman who is busy and business savvy that goes on one of these sites searching for a "needle in a haystack man" who is trying to be herself? She is sincere and open and when she asks questions or sees a possible red flag is shot down and demeaned by a man who knows very little about her, in fact he knows only what he assumes? Sure they fire away at you all the while they have just totally blown their one shot to possibly meet a really great woman who would in fact take and make the time for the right guy if and when he came along. What happens when you'd like to meet someone but your schedule is merely too busy, especially during holidays? What do we have to do to prove ourselves and even more so, WHY should we have to prove anything?

People lie on dating sites and it make my job and all of your whom are reading this even more difficult to explain yourself. Scammers and hypocrites are out there and they are taking away the one last chance some of us
work-a-holics have at possibly meeting someone without all that 'red tape' as I tend to call it. What happened to truth and honesty?
Most women are nothing less than a nice women with integrity. I guess some men want more. What must be considered as lying as far as online dating is concerned? It happens when you present yourself differently than who you really are. This includes your marital status, the kind of work you do, your physical appearance, your hobbies and interests, your relationship history, and other information that you put up on these sites. If we have nothing else at least we remain integral in our own lives, and if we keep the integrity alive within us all then we will eventually be shown into it. Because integrity's promise states that we will get what we deserve when it comes down to it, and we will manage to get whatever we want out of life if we can manage to keep our integrity intact. With integrity and belief we manage to keep out of trouble and keep our heads above water. If we manage to do this then we will get everything we deserve out of the game we crave so badly.

Guys, this is for all of you who speak before you think....when it comes to life and love there are only two things that rally matter; integrity and honesty. Believe it or not they are what women look for without even realising that they do. If they learn what they need to about you then they will find out that you are exactly what they are looking for in a man, including the fact that you are the one and only ideal man for them. So don't be nervous to remain hospitable and keep your integrity as well as making off with what you want from them. This means, don't jump the gun and make assumptions. Make the best of what you have and ponder it for answers and results. It is pivotal that you remain guarded with your integrity intact. Want some FREE Advice? Be YOU..., yes that's right...BE 100% YOU! If someone doesn't like it, they certainly are not the one intended to share your time nonetheless your oxygen with.

10 Sure Signs that You're FALLING IN LOVE!!!

So many times we date people, or meet people and that night we lay in bed wondering to ourselves... "would he/she be a good fit for me?" Well, its often difficult to tell after one date, sometimes even two or three...but if you see this  person then stop seeing them and continue to think of them often and wonder how they are doing or where they are or who they are with...you might have some stronger feelings for them that you were not aware of. Could it be love we often wonder? As Whitney Houston once sang..."How will I know if he really loves me?"

Here are 10 Signs You’re Falling in Love, whether you like it or not!

1. You forget to eat.
Super telltale. Forgetting to eat means you’re not only distracted, but that you also want that person more than you want food, so you forget all about it.
2. You catch yourself smiling.
A little love in your system can surprise you so much, you can’t help but smile. Hey, that's great! Smiling is good for the body, mind and soul! It’s half because you feel so good, and half because you’re laughing at yourself  for feeling like a 16 yr old again, but..... oh ain't love grand?
3. You can’t look at the person.
Suddenly, they drive you mad and you want to jump on them and squeeze them tight! It is impossible to hold a decent conversation with the object of your affection, because you’re afraid if you look them in the eye, they’ll be able to tell you’re melting for them inside. A good trick: talk to their forehead. Yes you heard me...look at their forehead, not their beautiful eyes...all the while knowing that  inside this man/woman is driving you completely insane and you want to kiss them like there's no tomorrow!
4. You think about them when you’re getting dressed in the morning.
Don’t pretend you’ve never done it. You start analyzing whether he or she would like the blue shirt better, and putting a little more effort into your hair. No harm done.

5. You realize you miss them when they’re not around.
If you’re used to seeing the object of your affection at work or class and then one day they’re not there, you’ll feel like your whole day was wasted. Does your bed seem empty? Wouldn't it be better to wake up with someone and hold them through out the night than be alone?
6. You get jealous about odd things.
You find out they saw a movie last night and now you are enraged. Why didn’t they think to invite you? Who did they go with?? Your ears turn red as you try and mask your jealousy., or what if you read their FaceBook wall and saw that a man wrote something cute on their wall? Maybe this guy is just an old school friend from way back when,..still it makes your blood boil?
7. You’ve pictured what your children would look like.
Oops. Maybe your baby making years are long gone....ask yourself then if she/he would be a good influence on your children? Would your kids like this person and do they think that this particular man/woman would make their parent glow and would you do the same for your partners? ...this then leading to my next response.....
8. People say you’re glowing.
The feeling of being in love is physical, and like laughter, it can have healing, rejuvenating benefits. This is one of the reasons it’s okay to revel in your feelings, even if they’re for the wrong person — just don’t make any stupid mistakes.
9. You’ve suddenly felt a rush of something and you like it!
Male or female, you start getting these feeling that are uncontrollable, and undeniable, and yet you still question them...why? You are scared silly...love is like taking a giant leap! Be careful....but for God sakes be brave. You don't want to move forward a few years and realize you let the best thing that ever happened to you slip away into someone elses arms, follow your heart....Yes, these are definitely signs you’re falling.
10. You can’t concentrate on work.
Maybe even as you read this article, you’ll glance and realize that half an hour has gone by. That’s because you’re daydreaming. And you are in looo-oooove.Oh La-La! Life is good! Enjoy it with that special someone! Sometimes you only get one chance!
