Finding a Man That Shares Your Values

How strong are your values in finding a lover, mate or spouse? I don't know about you all, but ethics, morals, and ones values of how they perceive things are quite important to me and it very well should be to you...especially if you are in a relationship or getting serious about someone. Society today tends to look at all the small stuff but they are forgetting about looking down the path of the 'long road' of being with someone. Ask a couple who has been married for 25 or 50 years what keeps their relationship alive and they usually tell you that they have important things in common. It may be animal magnetism that draws your attention to a man, but it’s not going to be enough to keep you together over the decades! You have to find a way to keep the love alive!

 His sexy curls and dark locks turns gray and soon fall out. He becomes bald perhaps? (I don't know about you but I love bald men so for me this one isn't quite as important as it may be to some of you) His six pack abs fall into his six pack drinking beer belly. This is every gals nightmare...football and beer...day in and day out. One, it can lead to alcohol issues and problems and that is not what we signed up for. Follow my lead and never do this ladies...NEVER buy your man a comfy recliner chair for his man cave...it will be ALL OVER! This will become his new home and you will become backseat to anything other than sports. The time he spent gazing into your eyes and undressing you with dirty thoughts is now spent in a trance before the television set watching NASCAR, football, baseball, golf, hockey or basically anything else that includes 'balls' of some sort. It's ok for the guy to watch sports or to go to games, but you need to make it clear that you come before anything else.

It truly would not hurt at all if you enjoyed sports too, but not all women share the same common grounds. You should though ladies...you're man will enjoy sharing time with you more so, and if you expect him to go shopping with you, you need to meet in the middle somewhere here. Sexy lingerie from www.SimplyDeliciousLingerie.com is great but there has to be something more than sex or fascination that keeps a couple together. Couples who share the same values have a bond that goes beyond physical attraction. It’s a foundation for their relationship. My suggestion; wear something sexy while watching sports with your man. Allow him to focus on his needs and meet yours just the same. Half time is the right time to find your common ground and to fool around a little bit. Believe me, his eyes will be glued to you and he won't remember the game let alone the sport he is watching.

If you’re from a family with strong ethnic or cultural heritage, then you need to find a man who shares that background. Otherwise, your relationship will be strained each time his family values and yours collide. In some families, marrying outside of the ethnicity or faith creates serious divisions between you and your family. You may say that you’ll give up family for love, but how will you feel about this after you have children? It gets tough. Even the issue of whose values or faith will be practiced by the children is enough to tear apart relationships. My thoughts have always been this...follow your heart, and if you truly love someone and are meant to be, you'll find that happy medium.

Let's talk facts here shall we? What if you are a conservative and he’s liberal - now this can and will make for some lively conversations. Nonetheless, if your political beliefs are radically different, this is going to impact how well your friends mix and how you live out your beliefs.

A materialistic woman who falls for a dedicated environmentalist starts a relationship with so many opposite values. She wants all of the latest appliances and finds recycling to be too much trouble. He sorts her trash to make certain that plastics and paper are in recycle bins. Talk about a giant mis-match in a relationship. In time, they will resent each other for those differences. You don’t have to look for a guy who is your philosophical, spiritual and emotional clone to be happy. Your values should be somewhat the same. I like nice things,all the way down to my perfume I wear, I also love to travel to far away places and someday, when I find the right man, I want him to share some of these simple qualities. He will have a passion for me, as well as a great passion for life.

No relationship is perfect. You won't always get along, or be on the same side and there may be arguments or disagreements...my favorite part of this is kissing and making up. Differences of opinion can be healthy and even exciting. There are those differences however that tear at the essence of the beliefs about who you are and your place in the universe become divisive and quarrelsome in any relationship. Perhaps the best way to find a mate who shares your most treasured values is to go where like-minded people can be found.

If you are politically inclined, join that party’s local group and work on campaigns. Environmentalists have many different expressions of saving our world, so find one that you can care deeply about and meet others who feel the same way.

Why go to a bar where you never know who’s being their 'true' self? Unless you are there to watch a game or meet a group of friends for happy hour after work, most people end up in bars for one night stands or quick fixes as I would like to call them...but if you are looking for the man of your dreams, sometimes you have to let fate take it's own actions. I truly am a 'paths crossing for a reason' kinda gal. My grandmother used to say that love will find you when you are least expecting it to. It might be days or it may be years, but it will happen when the timing is right for you, so be patient. My advise is don't look for Ms Right or Mr Right in a bar or pool hall. I love the phrase 'you get what you pay for' this applies to pick up joints and quick fixer meeting places. Don't do it if you are a serious looker. You’ll find a better dating pool from people who share your values, beliefs, ethnicity or culture, and in the meantime, you’ll enjoy doing things that are meaningful to you. Hang in there...you'll find him, and when you do, you'll know it!

MEN, RED FLAGS and DATING DISASTERS

When it comes to dating, for the most part, often women often go against their better judgment and overlook the quirky stupid things that men do to cut them some slack, BUT we cannot over look the RED FLAGS that are raised when they open their yaps concerning other significant topics. Although the women you're dating are trying their best to see your better qualities, their radar goes off when sizing you up. Radar? You know it...all women have it, that sense of something really, really being wrong...enough to make them bolt!

Here are 10 red flags women look for and hold against you, especially on the first date.

1. Constantly talking about your ex

Shame on you...Constantly talking about your ex-girlfriends can make a very bad first impression and run a new woman off in a hurry! Not only is is disrespectful but it's rude as hell. Your first conversation on a date with a new woman should be fun and intriguing, not consumed with emotional baggage and especially not discussions about your ex. Women view men that can't stop talking about their ex non-stop as having unresolved frustrations and pent-up bitterness and or major insecurity issues.

2. Having several kids with multiple women

Most women will run from this type of guy or they will skip over men in this situation all together because it's clear that these guys don't like to wear condoms, are more likely to have STDs and have serious commitment issues nonetheless an uncontrollable desire to she his manhood, unfortunately we women see it as male whores .

3. Being too controlling
Most women want men who will protect them and make them feel safe-but they don't want a dictator who tells them where to go, when to leave, who to talk to or what to wear. Sound familiar? If this does, run...quickly! Dating a guy with a controlling nature can be pretty scary for women and will cause them to stop dead in their tracks and tell you to take a long walk off a short pier.

4. Negativity

Women don’t want to date men who constantly feel sorry for themselves; who needs a pity party...we can do that by ourselves in the privacy of our own home or out with our girlfriends.... therefore, it’s important that you resist the urge to complain about your job, your health, the economy, etc. Most women feel that negative men are afraid to improve themselves and are very juvenile, so if you hate your current circumstances and aren’t doing anything about them but complaining, the women you’re dating will notice and start getting turned off.

5. Being preoccupied with sex

Men who are preoccupied with sex are a huge turnoff because women want to be valued for things other than their bodies and they know solid relationships can’t be based on sex alone. Avoid telling your date about your wild sex life unless she has made it clear that she welcomes these discussions, this is just bad news.

6. Bad-mouthing others

A woman won't be impressed when you dish dirt on coworkers, family or friends, or criticize those close to you. Who does that anyway? Not only that, but she will question your loyalty to her and begin to wonder what you say behind her back and if she can really trust you.

7. Lack of ambition
Women like to date men whom they can move forward with and see a bright future. They don't want to be with men who have no ambition or drive, are stagnant and are going nowhere fast. Women want to know that a man can take care of himself, so having an unfavorable lifestyle and showing no signs of maturity can make a woman flee from you in a real hurry.

8. Lack of chivalry

Being a gentleman when you are on a date means showing a woman that you are attentive, respectful and well-mannered. We should all strive to be gentlemen at all times; however, many men today shy away from it, attempting to respect a woman’s space and equality. While just about every woman is enjoying the benefits that come with equality, at the end of the day, she wants to be treated like a lady and if you can’t deliver, there’s a good chance she won’t stick around for long.

9. Still living at home

Although it may sound harsh, most women want to date men who have evolved enough to have made it out of their parents house! Moving back in with them for a short period to save after a divorce or breakup is one things....but men who still live at home are usually in no hurry to grow up, become independent or financially responsible. The only time it might be acceptable for a man to still be living at home is if he has temporarily fallen on hard times or is taking care of aging parents.

10. Moving too quickly

.... is usually a sign that you're uncomfortable being by yourself or you are looking for a woman to help solve your problems. Talking about what your children will look like after the first date, asking for intimacy or marriage too quickly or even spilling loads of very personal information too quickly all point to desperation.Yikes, seriously? That's a sure way to send her running in the opposite direction, so keep it up and you will be alone.

6 Suggests for Keeping the Spark in your Marriage....

1. Have really good sex.

That's right...that is exactly what I said. One marriage counselor and therapist after another will tell you that sex is a vital part of successful marriages. If you're having problems in the bedroom, talk it out with your spouse and maybe even consider seeing a medical doctor or sex therapist if the issue requires professional help to get resolved. Even if things are hot and heavy in the bedroom, you can always make improvements.

2. Woo your spouse with lots of hugs and kisses.

Kissing and touching your spouse is a great way to keep the heat between you burning. Increase the romance factor by surprising your spouse with an extraordinarily passionate kiss every so often. It doesn't always have to lead to sex, but it plants the seed for future encounters and makes the day a little more exciting.

3. Don't take your spouse for granted.

Too many couples fall into a rut because they start to just expect their partner to always be there and they quit courting one another. But marriage -- at least in part -- is an agreement to court each other forever. Continue to go out on dates and getting silly with each other. My parents just celebrated their 49th anniversary and they still have date night. Take the position that the fun does not have to end just because you said, "I do."

4. Resolve issues that get in the way of romance.

The biggest obstacle  to romance is tension and stress that arises between couples who are having problems -- from an overly intrusive mother-in-law to unpaid bills. Discuss problems as they arise and try to find solutions that will satisfy both of you. If the problems are too big for the two of you to handle on your own, seek help.

5. Create a love nest.

Make your home conducive to romance, a sanctuary where the two of you have privacy and tranquillity. Setting the mood for romance in the dining room the bathroom, most definitely the bedroom, and certainly anywhere else in between is not difficult, nor does it have to cost a lot of money.

6. Try being more adventurous.

Regardless of your ages, or how long you've been married....after a couple has been together a while, they may at times tend to get a little bored. Sure it happens, but it doesn't end here. When this happens you're going to need to spice it up...yes you heard me, kick it up a notch sister by foregoing your usual routine. Take a weekend getaway, try a new move in the bedroom, get dressed up for a night on the two with each other. The unexpected always makes life a little more exciting.

So You Got Dumped?

So what do you do when you get dumped? Breaking up hurts because it activates a grief reaction. It touches a lot of senses actually. You're angry, and mad, you cry....or you just get on with your life. But you feel as if you've lost something, especially if you spend a great length of time with this person. No one every likes to get dumped. I was always the dumper. Never be the dumpee. Either way, its still difficult when you ditch someone. If you have any shred of humanity, you feel bad about it, but you realize that it just wouldn't work long term. Some people think that they can remain friends after a break up. I don't think so. Why not just cut your losses and move on? Easier said than done.

Most often people go through sadness, anger and hurt. Feelings of betrayal, rejection and abandonment are common at the end of a relationship. Although this is a normal response to losing someone important, you will feel anything but “normal.” Take good care of yourself during this time, don't try to run from your pain, and reach out to friends and family for support....and don't look back on this person, they sure a shit didn't think much of you when they dumped you. Don't waste your time wondering "what if?" ...At least not with this matter. You'll beat yourself into the ground and still come out feeling poorly.

Break up quotes are plentiful because as as Neil Sedaka said in a song “Breaking up is hard to do.” All kinds of feelings come up: grief, loss, sadness, anger, betrayal, abandonment. To make matters worse, getting over a break up is not something that can be rushed.

Attempting to hurry past emotions or avoid them altogether is never advised. When unrecognized, minimized or dismissed the pesky things tend to linger even longer! Therefore, the common tricks of keeping so busy you don't notice yourself or beginning to date immediately are counterproductive. Instead, make time for your feelings, take good care of yourself, and turn to family and friends for support. Get out and start a new. There is a big world out there waiting for you,...and there is someone who lays his/her head to sleep at night that wishes for the same things you do. Love find you when you least expect it. First you must get past the heartbreak.

Do We Have to do it Again?

Lets assume that you’ve just had a long, hectic day. You have that look on your face and everyone can read you like a book......You’ve had a full day at work, and when you come home, you’re immediately greeted by household chores, clingy kids, and a stack of bills. There’s dinner to prepare and a report that’s due tomorrow morning. Then, when you lie down in bed—eager to get much-needed sleep—your partner/lover/husband gives you that look. Oh, no! Something tells you that he’s about to ask for sex, but you’re just not in the mood, and you haven’t been in a long time.... “I’m tired, honey,” you say, but he gets upset. “You’re always tired!” he complains., and you hear the blah, blah, blah....So what do you do? You are not a sex machine, although you sure wish you were.....and you cannot do it 2-3 times a day...you are exhausted just thinking about it!

Talk about both of your Needs;
All marriage/relationship experts agree that communication is the heart and soul of a happy relationship. Here I go again...foundation is everything,....be open and honest, always communicate. You may be physically exhausted right now, but it’s important to maintain at least that emotional connection. Try to explain your feelings (it’s better than rolling over and making him feel ignored and unwanted) and then listen to his.
Talking to each other can also help you find a happy compromise and look for practical and realistic ways to solve the problem. For example, you can set a special day each week when you and your husband can go on a date and set the mood for a midnight rendezvous where anytime is bedtime.

Boost your Body;
Regular physical activity and exercise can help boost your libido and strengthen your body so you aren’t completely wiped out from work by the end of the day. Exercise also releases endorphins, do some yoga booty ballet, or something that wakes your blood up. It will get your body’s happy hormones, and losing those excess pounds can also make you feel better about yourself and the way you look. Then you can focus on Simply Delicious Lingerie and something sexy, hot and oh so sassy for your special night.....

Keep an eye on what you Eat;
You don’t need to go on a diet. Just eat a light dinner. Heavy meals can make you feel sluggish, and high-sugar desserts will lead to an energy crash just when you hit the sack. Certain food have been known to increase libido.....I say, "break me off a piece of that....:" Find out what they are, and head to the grocery store pronto!! Why not include these ingredients in your meal plan? You can end the meal with a glass of wine. It’ll help you relax, and put you in the mellow mood that’s always good for sex.
“But I’m too tired and busy to exercise!” you sigh.

Take time to celebrate even the smallest of occasions;
Don’t wait for Birthdays, Valentine’s Day or your wedding anniversary to do something special together. Where is your sense of romance and adventure? Come on get with the program here! Make little romantic gestures “just because.” Send her flowers just to thank her for being so important in your life. Leave naughty love notes in their daily planner. These can put the spark back into your relationship or your marriage (especially your sex life), and also is a way to tell him again and again how much you love him. Sex isn’t the only way to show affection and appreciation—and sometimes that’s all a couple needs to get through a normal “dry spell.” If you don't follow these suggestions, you will exhaust yourself from too much thinking and you'll be wasting valuable time doing what you don't want to do, verse what you could be doing. Turn the frown upside down and shake it off! Lose this face guys.....otherwise you'll be sleeping n the dog house tonight!
