So many times I have people come to me and say that they let their dreams go because it wasn't the right time or that it wasn't in the cards for them. Seriously? Hey guys, never let someone take your future away from you. Your life belongs to you, not to your spouse, your boyfriend, lover, sugar daddy, friends, or your partner...just YOU! More times often than not, those around us harp on us as to how many ways you can fail. These are people who are cowards most likely and afraid to try something themselves, so of course they grab onto you like a leech and suck the life and inspiration out of you.
Somebody asked me recently what do I think about the many people out
there who are seen as failures? First of all, I don't like even like using or saying the word failure. The
definition of failure can be different from one person to another. From my past, I've learned to beware of your judgements for
you never how things will turn out in the end. Life is not about failing, it is all about learning from our mistakes and creating a better life. Below is a list of the "Why's" as to why you should follow your dreams;
You Are Strong!
You are stronger than you think. One little setback is not enough to stop you from achieving your goals. Neither are 10 or 100 or 1000 setbacks. I was raised to not accept the words "no" or "quit" so neither of them are in my vocabulary. If you are in a relationship or if it is someone as close as your parents or siblings telling you that you can't do something...walk away. You need people in your life who understand your struggles of starting a business, or getting that promotion at the office, or changing their major to do something that their heart wants more.

Here's an example: My son got through over 3 years of college before he came to me and said "Mom, I don't really want to to major in communications." I asked what then was it that he wanted to do? He said; "I want to work in the world of fashion and live in NYC!" I looked at him, smiled and said then let's do it! You see, when you love someone with unconditional love, you do all that you can to support them and push them to work harder to achieve their goals. My son went back to school and finished a 4 year degree in retail fashion and business management in 2.5 years. He lost social time, friends and moved out of state to pursue his career and to follow his dream. He put so much of his life on hold and I watched this young man work so unyieldingly with very little sleep some nights to push himself harder and harder. What I am trying to say here is to surround yourself with positive people who support you. Do not allow Negative Nancy's to creep into your life and make a muck of things.
Your Family and Friends.
Let the people you love and who mean the world to you be your inspiration to persist and persevere. Maybe you need to try a different angle, study more or practice more but don’t give up! Keep pushing yourself and learning more.

When you achieve whatever you set out to achieve you can use your success to make a difference to the world or other peoples lives. What you believe you can do, you can do In the laws of attraction, you are like a magnet that attracts things into your life. When you're happy and things are going well, you attract good things. When you're negative and despondent, you attract not so good things.
But being positive is only part of the equation. You also need to be focused on the dream that you want from your life. You need to really understand what you want and why you want it. It's when we're unclear about what we want that the waiting game seems to drag on and on. Figuring out what you want seems like an easy job, but for many of us, it's not. We get caught up in what other people want from us or what we think we should have. Instead, take a moment to think about what would make YOU happy. Not anyone else, just you. This is the dream that you should be aiming for. This is the dream that you should not give up on.
Prove Yourself
You don’t want to be known as someone that is weak and gives up do you? Listen, it doesn't matter what others think of you or what you are trying to accomplish. Chances are they have no idea how strong your dream is or how long, hard and effortlessly you have worked to achieve it. Go out there and prove yourself to the world and to all the more, to YOU. You CAN and WILL achieve what you set out to do. The only time you fail is when you give up. Take baby steps. God only knows whether in have been in my marriage, raising my children solo or in my businesses, I have failed...but I pick myself up by the shoestrings and go at it again!

They may be hurting you and holding you back more than helping you.

There will always be haters. You know ...people who are envious of what you do, how many friends you have or the social networks that you are entangled in. You should be proud of your goals as well as the circle of friends that you have surrounded yourself in. Never allow anyone to persuade you of your dreams. Don't look back 20 years from now and wonder "what if?" There will always be plenty of naysayers and people who try to tear you down. Don’t pay attention to them and don’t take what they say to heart. Let the haters hate and you keep believing in yourself. You'll climb to the top with or without them, and those who truly love you and stand by you will be there with open arms to cheer you on!
