It's In the Bag....

Let’s face it; Women are as beautiful as they make themselves to be. For some it comes quite easily and for others it takes time to get up and moving in the morning. However, we all have our little things that we do to make us feel better about ourselves ready for the day! Looking and feeling great takes some effort, and it can be difficult for busy women to fit everything in. Luckily, there are such a massive variety of products out there to help us. You can find convenient, portable gadgets that can fit in your purse: I call it: "beauty on the go!" No more running frantically around the house in the morning because you are running out of time. Simply throw what you need in your bag and do it on the way (or touch up later in the day).

 

Hair

If you need something to style your hair on the go, buy a cordless hair straightener. These hair styling accessories are battery operated, and easily fit into your purse. There are also compact hair dryers that are easy to carry with you, but you will need an outlet to plug it in.A very cool hair gadget you can take with you or keep at work is the hot air brush. Sometimes my nicely styled hair gets a bit wonky after being out in the rain, so one of these brushes will help restyle and dry damp, disheveled hair. Not only can you fit these objects in your purse, but they also don’t take up much room if you want to keep them in a drawer at your work desk. You never know when you might need these gals.....always be prepared for life's little disasters!

Makeup

If you need to do or touch up your makeup outside of your home, a lighted compact mirror will make your life a lot easier. The typical bathroom mirror is well lit, making it easier to see what you are doing when applying makeup. Using the mirror from a small compact can be tricky, but even more difficult when it is cast in shadow. A lighted mirror will make it easier to see what you are doing. Ladies remember, don't over do it....men like the natural look over the "way too much" look. They are gentlemen and probably won't tell you this, just go light, that's my advice. You want to blend in, not stand out like a clown.

Nails

Very important to look their best. Groom them and keep the nail color the same as your lip shade. Men like uniform. Believe it or not, they look for this. Personally, I think there is nothing worse than breaking a small chunk off of one of my nails—it ends up snagging everything you touch all day, making the break worse. It isn’t healthy to tear or bite your broken nail off, so it is a good idea to keep a small manicure kit available, and if you can;'t fit that, how about a nail file to round the rough edges?

Teeth

There is nothing better than a beautiful smile full of shiny teeth. And, there is nothing worse than someone with bad breath. Carry breath mints, or chewing gum with you at all times. I have Tic Tacs in every handbag.  With this in mind, if you want your mouth to really feel clean...brush your teeth....those of you who are interested in oral hygiene throughout the day will probably love a portable electronic toothbrush. They have smaller ones to store in your bag. These range in prices from low to high, and you can buy rechargeable or regular battery operated versions. They come in different sizes, so you can slip small ones into a purse and the bigger ones fit easily into briefcases and backpacks. Your dentist will LOVE you!

 

Cleansers & Exfoliaters

Does your skin ever feel grimy half way through the day? Sometimes I want to wash my face and start all over.  It isn’t convenient to head to the office restroom to apply some cream and wash your face, but you still have options. There are plenty of small packs of disposable facial wipes that you can use once, and then discard. I bought some of these at Target last weekend and I LOVE THEM!!!! They are a MUST HAVE!

It's In the BAG!

My personal favorite.....This Jimmy Choo Ramona Zebra Bag is definitely not for the wallflower. In fact, zebra is NEVER for a woman who doesn’t want to command a lot of attention and is worthy of it. Bold patterned ponyskin can easily look gaudy and tacky if the right person doesn’t carry it off with style and attitude. This loud diva bag makes chic out of what most would consider garish and still projects a modern elegance. The leather lacing details, and shiny gold hardware gives this purse a little rock n’ roll glam as well. Wrap yourself in a big fur and throw your best shades on and attack the town…
