Planning for Your Wedding Day!

The day that you have waited for your entire life...that special moment that you freeze in time to hold onto those precious moments when you hear those 4 magical words....."Will You Marry Me?" What woman doesn't want to experience this at least once in her lifetime? From the moment he "pops the question," until you say, "I Do," there seems to be an infinite number of things to do and plans to be made.  You want this day to be special. You want it to be the day to remember...the day that will be talked about for years and years to follow. Getting married is quite exciting but boy oh boy can it be stressful. I had a shot gun wedding and prepared for it in 6 weeks. If I might say so myself, I did a pretty good job! We did it all and remembered everything....

Well, almost everything... 2 hours before the wedding my mom looked at me and said "What music did you select for the pianist to play?" At that very moment I felt my dress getting tighter so tight that my circulation was cut off, as I fell to the chair and said  OMG OMG OMG!!! I thought his mom was hiring the pianist? Tell me, where do you find a musician spur of the moment? Back then we didn't have the internet, or facebook, or twitter to tweet for help! We had the good ole' yellow pages.... We found someone but let me tell you...he was a mix of Barry Manilow meets Rod Stewart. I was just happy that we found someone such spur of the moment. Let this be a good lesson to all...plan ahead, make that check list and cover all of your bases. It happens...we stress, and we forget. My sister-in-law got married on Halloween and the bakery lost their order for the cake! Imagine that....Would you not want to die? They ended up with a wedding cake decorated in orange and black!

The following is a guideline provided to assist you in taking it "One Step at a Time." Wedding is one of the most special events in everyone's life. This happens only once, thus, every bride and groom makes this symbolic day as lovely and extraordinary as possible. The preparations can sometimes be intricate and stressful but in the end it's worth all the planning and the time spent to make it exceptional. But how can we really make a wedding truly fabulous but inexpensive at the same time? Behold.....

Create a Theme.
The trend for this genre is to be as creative as you can with your theme, let the artist in you shine. A simple wedding theme is unique, try to find some inspiration on what design it should be. It could be something that reflects your personality, it can be a flower or a butterfly. You can then apply your theme on your wedding favors, decorations, accessories, dresses, and other wedding essentials. Remember to include "him" in the event planning. He is just as much a part of this ordeal as you are, try to remember that.
Surprise your guests.
Your wedding day is a celebration of your happiness as well as the people who had witnessed it. It would be nice and sweet if you will handed them simple wedding favors or thank you notes just to let them feel important as part of your wedding. If you have much time, you can collect pictures of guests and place them in frames and put these wedding favors on each guest's table assignment.

Share unforgettable moments.
As the guests enter the reception they would usually be captivated by the arrangements of colors and furniture around. You can add pictures or videos of you and your husband's memorable and special time together with simple captions on it. Exhibit your love to each other, inspire all the guests and show them how much this celebration means to both of you. Share what happened during your courtship up until today through the different symbols and creations displayed around the reception. People love to hear all of the details...how you met, how he proposed, etc.

Dance like a pro.
Make an effort to make your wedding as adorable and interesting as it is. You can ask someone to teach you and your husband some steps that would amaze everyone. Dancing together with the entourage can be fun as well, which is not usual to a wedding. Rehearsed well and showcased your talent. This would surely be one wedding that the guests wouldn't forget. Buy a good pair of shoes...might I suggest Jimmy Choo? You won't regret it. He will fit like a glove and he'll be your glass slipper...the perfect fit, for the perfect fairy tale ending...your day to remember, your wedding day!
