Humorous Bikini Waxing

Regardless of whether you are honeymooning, or heading to a tropical paradise to focus on the important things in life, no one should leave home without a good waxing! We all want to look and feel sexy from head to toe...and everywhere in between. While uninterrupted by thoughts of potential bikini-line overgrowth dance through your head... Why not treat yourself to a Brazilian bikini-wax and set yourself free? Not a hair will dare stray outside your bikini bottom again. At least until your next waxing.

Ummmm hello? Ladies,....have you ever had a bikini waxing? If you have you are fully aware of the benefits....if you have not,...or you poor dears....prepare yourself for some fierce pain! My advice, before you go for you waxing, stop at a local bar and have a few cocktails first to loosen you up and to take the edge off...trust me, you'll thank me later!

This method of waxing originated in the place where beach thongs abound and although torturous, is claimed as "completely worth it" by its devotees. The Brazilian wax basically takes it ALL away, leaving just a tiny strip of closely-shorn hair in front (referred to by some regulars as an "airstrip", a "thong wax" or a "Playboy wax").

Things that Brazilian waxing virgins need to know first:

Not a yellow page referral task, the best way to find out about a good waxer is word of mouth, so ask around locally. Many waxers will refuse to do this type of waxing, as it is so highly personal. A bad Brazilian waxer will leave you with nasty ingrowns --- that can turn the already daunting experience into to a very, very bad one.

Your Brazilian waxer will know you at least as intimately as your gynecologist. You will be asked to strip down to nothing and spread your legs into all kinds of embarrassing positions. Your best defense is to appear as though you think it's as normal as your waxer does.

Expect no picnic. There is no way to avoid some pain, but there are ways to choose lesser evils. The best practitioners are also the zippiest. The ones who keep going over and over a spot simply prolong the agony. The Elizabeth Arden Salon, extremely reputable for their hair removal procedures, uses a wax that is very gentle on the skin. The downside is that it requires some repeat action, which can take the fun out of it. The J Sisters seem slightly less hygienic (no gloves) but it really is over in a flash.

The torture is not everlasting. A Brazilian bikini (no legs, no underarms, just the bikini) should not take longer than a half hour.Expect to pay at least 45.00 for a good Brazilian wax by a pro. Small price to pain to save a lot of embarrassment. No pain, no gain right?

I show this clip to my friends and we laugh until we cry all the time....So, whether you need a good dose of laughter, or if you are feeling down and and you are reading me to simply pass time, here is something that will keep bringing you back to the Simply Delicious Lingerie Blog Spot....behold, Mrs Browns Bikini Waxing...Be prepared to shed some tears,...You'll have a good laugh with this one!

Bridal Slippers or Stilettos?

Ladies, how many times have you looked back at your wedding day (those of you whom are already married) and asked...Why did I look so uncomfortable on the dance floor? Maybe it was because some nimwit friend talked to into a keen pair of stiletto heels that were, oh I don't know, perhaps some 3 inches too steep for you? Just a guess. Not everyone is made to wear steep heels, and not everyone wants to.

We sell a variety of shoes for your wedding day and every day that are inexpensive and look like luxury. Visit our store as we are currently updating our footwear with new styles for the season. www.SimplyDeliciousLingerie.com

Dancing in High Heels is really no different from walking in high heels. The trick is to be honest and feel comfortable moving in your shoes. So many ladies wear flat shoes for most of the time, but at your wedding somehow flat shoes just don’t cut it. So few brides, however, think about the ramifications of wearing her beautiful heels for the Wedding Dance.Moving around in heels seems so very different from wearing flats. We have all seen ladies tottering around, struggling with her shoes. If you can’t walk on your shoes then you just can;t dance on them either. During your Wedding Dance you not only want to look spectacular but feel comfortable too.

So, the first question must be “How do I walk in High Heels?”Walking in high heels is no different from walking in flats. As we move our body, our leg moves under us to hold us up. The foot its the floor first and then we roll over our bodies as our weight moves forward. We then do it again with the other foot. When wearing heels the process is exactly the same. We move our foot so that if we were not wearing heels the heel of the foot would strike first. As soon as we feel the heel of the shoe making contact with the floor then we roll over our foot in a forward motion.

Dancing in heels depends on what style of dance we are doing. Decide this far in advance so that you can practice your wicked moves. All of the traditional ballroom dances likely to be used for a Wedding Dance such as Waltz and Foxtrot will use the method we have just described. Dancing a Latin American style such as Rumba or Cha Cha dictate the toe descending first, which does depend on your weight being more forward. If you intend to do the "Chicken Dance" or any other the other crazy dances that new brides and grooms do today...do yourself a favor and take your shoes off,..trust me, you'll have a lot more fun and when the alcohol wears off a few hours later, you'll feel better and quite glad that you did.

There are some more tips we can give however. Think about your shoes, the ones you wear to work or around the home. Are they worn? More specifically, are they worn unevenly with one side worn more than the other? If so, you are walking favouring one side of your foot.
Walking on heels is easier when you use the central area of your foot, bring the foot into contact with the floor in the centre of the heel and then on to the central part of the front of your foot. The finer the heel, the more important it is to walk “centrally." Stilettos are more difficult to walk on for this reason.

If you honestly want to dance in high heels, you are crazy and already not under the influence of alcohol which I would very much have to been with steep stilettos on....wear them around and try to use them on a regular basis you must practice walking in them so that you are really confident that you can handle all sorts of surfaces. No one wants to see you with your skirt up over your head and your ass smacking the floor, but it happens...Try this; constructed ballroom shoes have kid soles entirely unsuited to walking outside but brilliant for holding and feeling the floor. They are great! I'm not necessarily suggesting that you need dance shoes or even Isotoner Slippers, but do consider how it feels to walk on a hard, smooth floor – and now on a dance floor. Remember if you cannot feel comfortable walking on this surface you will not be able to dance on it. Screw the saying "No pain, no gain!" if your feet are sore, your back will hurt. It really isn't worth it, is it?

Being a Successful Woman

Has someone ever tried to tell you what to do, or tried telling you that an idea you had that you thought was so great was all wrong, and not to do it because it would be the biggest mistake? If this sounds familiar, follow your heart, and your gut! Sure people try to give advice and friends and family mean well, but you know best. There will be those who think they know it all and who will think that you'll never survive if you take your own advice...those are the people who really aren't your friends who are waiting for you to fail.

Had it not been for a really shitty man dragging me across the country to give me a line of bullshit a mile long about wanting to invest in Simply Delicious Lingerie and then only to come back weeks later to make me aware that I misquoted a single word, yes a word, I would not be here today. He told me that banks would laugh at me when they reviewed my business proforma because of this and ask for outrageous profits in my company because he had the cash to do what I needed for the business. I cried for two days and then came to the realization that not all people with money are ruthless and have allowed success to go to their heads,...so I started doing some digging about him. Little does he know that I now know the line of crap he handed me about working hard and fighting tooth and nail came from cheating the system...

Yes, this man who claimed to be "Mr. I Know Everything" broke the law, abused the system and had the nerve to tell me that I didn't know how to manage and maintain a business properly. My head according to him was "in the clouds." Little did this ignorant man know that even without his money I was determined to make my company a success come hell or high water and I realized that it wasn't going to happen over night but it would happen! ....oh and when it does, you know how that saying goes, revenge is best served cold? He'll get his. In a very classy subtle way I will show him that I was able to rise above his ruthless efforts to belittle me and I will show him that women can run businesses on their own without the help of a man if they want to.

Maybe my business will only ever be the "mom and pop" type. Perhaps it will get larger than I ever imagined? Either way, I am happy knowing that I took my own advice, followed my gut, worked my ass off to make this company(s) a stepping stone for the modern day women who no longer have then time to venture out during the day, after working a long hard day, or on weekends because their schedules have been full for weeks in advance with other matters...now women can shop 24/7 online, at ease, in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. These women, all of you whom I have become friends with, to you I tip my hat and say "thank you"....for your continued support!

Simply Delicious Lingerie and soon to be Simply Luscious Lingerie was a dream, a vision that I have had for many years and something that I had always hoped for but never thought I could make possible. It only takes one person to believe in YOU and with that one person you can move mountains...I have wonderful friends, great family and two amazing kids that pushed me to keep going. I raised the to dream big and to never look back as failure was only a word known to those who never tried. My grandmother used to say "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door" I have built so many doors that I could supply a block of homes.

When you have an idea but you aren't sure how to get started with it, read, and use search engines to optimize your keywords. You may get a lot of small ideas that you can combine with your master plan to fit your needs. Might I suggest Bing over Google? For personal reasons other than the obvious when they told me that I couldn't use a coupon to do more advertising, it didn't stop them for withdrawing monies from my bank without tell me first, or giving me an option to back out of running pay-per-click ads with them.

Might I also suggest looking into various coupon companies on the web as well because I thought so highly of GROUPON unto they shot my idea down and came up with a lame excuse stating that it didn't appeal to everyone men and women. Oh really?? Tell me Mr Groupon, when have you not heard of men buying lingerie for women? Yeah....that's what I thought. Mr Groupon were you aware that 39% of the purchase made on line are from men buying lingerie for women? How then would this not service both sexes? In the last 10 years this percentage has skyrocketed because NOW men can shop privately online and not feel uncomfortable walking into a lingerie store to 1) be embarrassed, or 2) being seen especially if he was there shopping for pajamas for his mother.

Sooo I did what any business owner would do? I asked for a detailed explanation....theirs was a poor excuse now stating the the town I lived in and wanted to run the ad in was not a good city to do so. WTF? Now it's the city, 2 hours ago it was that this was more of a one sided ad. Google and Groupon,...you boys better get your act together! It can't only be me that you are pissing off?

So what makes me happy in business and how did I come about this? Who influenced me and what did I learn from them? People are really great at giving advice when it isn't their money being put on the line. Had it not been for one of my best friends, Steve, who has always been there for myself as well as my children, the man who taught me more than he will ever know ...he gave me the courage to step outside of the box without the help of big bad ass investors and try it out myself. He is my miracle. He is a man who has never failed me or let me down and his friendship is truly genuine. He gives advice, but knows that I am a stubborn Irish woman that even then does her own thing...he accepts me for who I am, with flaws, but a determined lady that wants to make it big in the business world of lingerie. His faith in me was all that I needed, for it was he who has known me for several years and who genuinely knows who I am, and what am determined to do. What happened you wonder? Well, I'm here, and in a few months I launch my sister company Simply Luscious Lingerie. A plus size store designed only for plus size women. "I owe my success to having listened respectfully to the very best advice, and then going away and doing the exact opposite."

The moral of the story ladies is NEVER give up on your dreams! Never let anyone, man or woman, or a bank tell you that you cannot do something that you know in your heart is possible and will be successful some day with hard work, little sleep and a lot of love! Passion is what drives me to do well and the love for my business is what makes happier than I have been in a very long time. Life is short. If you don't like yours there is time to change it. If you hate your job, find something better? Does seniority matter anymore? NO. I saw my mother and father work for two companies for 25-40 years and what they they get? Nothing....their pensions were cut in half, their 401K diminished and their pride and determination to make their retirement years enjoyable were flushed away because of some arrogant business owner who think more of money than you. Sad as it may be, it's the truth. So where were the loyalties when my father never missed a day of work in 40 years and my mother accomplished so much having to making sacrifices? They are retired and no living the dream like they thought they would...why? Because of this countries need to allow big banks, and big assholes run nice people and small businesses into the group without hesitation because it wasn't a good fit for them. To these people I say, look out for Karma....eventually, it will get you! Large companies are no longer loyal to anyone but their own pocketbook. Facts are facts. If they aren't giving themselves big fat bonuses, they are vacationing on your dollars, giving themselves raises or embezzling it for their own personal use. What happened to honesty? What happened to doing business with a hand shake like my grandfather did?

Life is all about living. We feed from others strengths and learn from theirs and our own weaknesses. You cannot fail if you don't try. If you try and fail, at least no one can ever say that you didn't give it your all...and to those who laugh at you when you share your dreams and visions and they tell you that your head is in the clouds....look at them, smile and know that one day you will remind them of you got there on your own without their help. Then send them a subtle reminder. Don't be mad at them....nahhhh they aren't worth the time of day, or the space in your brain to store the anger....be thankful that you don't have to share your hard earnings with a real jackass good for nothing! Be happy that you have been blessed with such great customers, clients, family and friends! To those who think you won't succeed, this will be the ammunition to work even harder to prove them wrong...but don't do this for them, do it for YOU! Being a successful women in business, family or personal life requires making choices. Just because someone gives you great advice doesn't mean for a minute not to take it, you might just want to distribute it your own way and add some kick to it yourself, that's what I did. There is nothing to be fearful of other than fear itself. Be proud of who you, where you were born and raised where from our teenage years the seeds were planted, my seeds in Youngstown Ohio, and he proud are and your achievements! It sure isn't easy, but it is so rewarding!

5 Mistakes We Make with Men

Here is some good solid advice; No, I'm not at all an expert by any stretch, but I have walked to road of love and romance before and this is what I discovered: Lets take a look at reality here for a moment, shall we? Many women don't have any luck with guys. They try everything but they're still alone. Are we trying too hard? Sound familiar? Then they start to blame the man, "He's a jerk,".... "He's your typical guy",.... "His ego is too big"....."He's not good enough for me", and the best....and my personal favorite....."He just thinks that he's ALL THAT".... In reality most of the problems with their relationship have been because of the mistakes they make with men. If you are one of those women who don't ever seem to get a guy or, if you do, you can't keep him for very long, you might want to take 10 minutes and read on to discover the mistakes you've been making in the past. Let's try to correct this so that we can move forward with a healty relationship.

STOP Paying So Much Attention - They feed off of this gals...."egos" they have BIG ONES!!! Men love attention and they love getting attention from women. The secret of giving attention to a man though is to give him a lot of attention at first, and then stop. Once the attention is withdrawn, the guy will do anything he can to make sure he gets the attention back (especially because men like a challenge). They love the chase, but let them catch you too soon and say good bye to this guy! Think about it...if you keep giving him all the attention, he has nothing to work for and he'll very soon tire of you and move on to another girl that's not quite so easy.

Can Plus Size Women Find Love?

CAN PLUS SIZE GALS FIND TRUE LOVE?

Plus size women are no different than anyone else. They have feelings, emotions, beauty, brains, and they too fall in love. Why is it then that people seem to think that plus size women are respected any less? Lets do the comparisons shall we? Plus size women date good, attractive men..the same men a regular size/shape woman would. Plus size women get married and have families. Plus size women are adored and cherished just as they are, without losing a single pound or changing anything about themselves...they love who they are inside out and upside down. One of my best friends was over weight most of her life. She was treated poorly by others, even some of my friends. I began to see this more and more as I grew older and time passed. It became relevant to me very quickly what had to occur. Those friends that bad mouthed Diane had to go! What kind of ignorant people do such a thing? I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I was raised to treat everyone the same and respect everyone. Some people wouldn't know how to respect someone much less understand the word "class" if it jumped up and bit them.

Diane's issues were insecurities and stress, so she ate. Sound familiar at all? Years later and into high school she lost the weight (half of her body weight.) Those friends of mine who treated her poorly that didn't deserved Diane's respect much less mine now wanted to know who my "new friend" was? Yes, poor Diane looked like a million bucks now and was getting the attention of boys and gaining popularity. I couldn't be more proud and happy for Diane,....As for those snub nose girls, you know the cheerleaders, and the popular click that thought they were "all that" ....Diane and I didn't bother with them ever again. Why is it that people judge others by their appearance most often? Why is it that they think that these women are pathetic because they are overweight? Why is it that they think they'll never meet the man of their dreams? Diane did, and yes, she did put some of her weight back on, but I've never seen her happier!

I've got news for you....these woman are the bigger person and I don't mean in size. I mean in character, compassion and smarts! They could conquer the world! It's all about confidence and attitude. What Diane didn't quite get because she couldn't see the forest through the trees what that she was beautiful all along...losing the weight never changed that. To this day she'll probably never know how much I have looked up to her and how much I respect her and admire her for those strengths that I saw shining through each and every day. She has no idea how her smile and laughter brightened peoples days.... She has been my inspiration for so many years and one of the reasons that my dream of owning lingerie shops came to life full circle. It was my dream, but she was my inspiration. She was my example, she taught me to look within myself, she showed me that love and beauty like that cannot be found on the surface, regardless of your size...it comes from the heart and from within.

A Message to Plus Size Gals....You Can Find Love!

Listen gals, if you get nothing else from this blog, the one thing I hope you will take away from it is that dating, healthy relationships and love come in so many sizes. Never judge a book by it's cover....otherwise you'll miss a lot of glorious chapters within. Contrary to popular belief, plus size women do fall in love and get married. And it doesn’t take some complicated formula or set of rules to make it happen. It is so easy to get discouraged when you are plus size and single, so don't compare yourself to anyone else. A lot of the dating advice that’s out there today would have you believe that you need to undergo a massive overhaul of your entire body and personality to meet a good guy who wants to go the distance with you, and it’s simply not true. Ladies, love who YOU are! As long as you make yourself #1 nothing else matters. You deserve and will find that happiness just like everyone else....it's not the size of the women that matters, its a package...all the other things that a man looks for in a woman. So STOP thinking that because you are a few pounds heavier that you won't land Mr Wonderful!

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be your best self; as a matter of fact I encourage it. You have to feel good about "YOU!" So lose weight if you want to, go to therapy, get centered, and release your baggage, do whatever you feel like you need to do. Just know that meeting a man and falling in love does not depend on you changing something about yourself. If he is going to fall in love with you it's going to be for all the right reasons. You just focus on being authentically you, going for what you want and living your life to the fullest. Why? Because you are beautiful just the way you are...and at the end of the day, isn't that what really matters?
