Raising Our Children with Ethics, Morals and Values

How we raise our children speaks volume about who we are as parents. How our children act on our teachings as adults is strictly up to them. I believe that when you show love in your household and teach your children ethics, morals and values, it makes them a better person. I believe that we pave the road for our children and their future by raising them with the basic and loving fundamentals that we were taught. No, we are not perfect parents, nor can we make our children turn out perfect young adults, but we can guide them and kick them in the ass when they take a wrong turn. (just kidding)

I was raised with love and kindness and that is how I raised my children. I had the luxury of not only being raised by two wonderful parents, rather 4 grandparents and one great grandmother. That's 7 fantastic people that influenced my life. My children had two parents, 4 grandparents and 3 great grandparents. Am I proud of them today? You betcha I am. They have never shown me disrespect and they always took my advice whether they wanted to hear what I had to say or not. I think somewhere deep inside, even if they were not happy at times with what I had to say, they knew that 'ole mom had a good head on her shoulders!'

Here’s a story to share with you. When I am not trying to be the best aunt, daughter, friend mom and sister I can be, when I am not out saving relationships, or pinning my blogs, DIY projects or recipes on Pinterest…when I am not tweeting about sales at my stores, making new friends on Facebook or trying to make it big in the panty world, I also work a part time job in sales with a group of young ladies that are quite special to me. I call them my very own “Fab 5” and the old boys of Michigan U of M don’t have anything on these ladies! They are my superheroes. These women give me hope, encouragement and a reason to keep on blogging and selling lingerie. They are my cheerleaders and they motivate me! Let me not forget someone else, lets call her Jordache, who is no longer working with us but remains dear to me and I miss her and her funny stories.

Oh how I love when these women come to work and tell me about their lives,... and by now they all know that they should really watch what they say as their conversations are the best blogging materials for new articles.

Often, I wake up knowing what I want to write about, and other days, I have to ponder it a bit. Or, I go into work and one of the gals tell me about something that happened that makes me want to share it with all of you. Here’s my story about raising your child with morals. Last week, one of these gals came in and told me that she was asked to prom. It wasn’t just any invite, it was what every young lady could ever probably wish for and not just for some formal dance, but to her senior prom. This young lady wanted an invite to her prom. She had the perfect dress picked out and all that she needed was to be asked. Oh, she got invited, but allow me to share with you the thought that this young man put into his invitation; and to all of you other young men, do take notes:

He started by putting a teddy bear and a note in her car at the end of the day last week. The note said “when you get home, go to your front door” so she did…and at her front door was a bouquet of roses along with a note that said; “arrange these in order and call this number.” She did just that and when she put them it order it spelled the word ‘PROM!’ She then called the number left with the note. This young man told her “do not give him her answer yet, he said "I’d like to hear it in person.” Then he told her to go to her front door…so she did. There he was this handsome young man standing on her porch. It was then that he asked her to go to the high school prom with him.

This young man made a real impression and my guess is that he is already loved by her family. He opens doors for her, walks her to her door, and treats her very much like a lady in every sense of the word. He is good to his siblings and loves his mom. When the topic of dating and relationships came up, she told him that she wasn’t ready for a relationship. He told her that it was all right and that he would wait because she was worth waiting for! Oh, and PS) she said 'YES!'

KUDOS to the parents who raised such a fine young man and double kudos to this young ladies parents who taught their daughter how to love, be kind to others, to have standards and to never settle. Two kids raised by two separate families who both were loved and nurtured. They have much respect for themselves and for others. This comes from yet how they were raised and the morals and ethics as parents that we instilled.

I get chills when I hear stories like this because in society today, there are far too many children that just don’t get it. Teach your kids to be kind and not mean. Keep your children close and regardless of if they stay, or stray, always know that you gave them all the love that you could, and just pray that someday they see the picture a little bit more clearly! Raising children is not easy! The most important thing is to keep the lines of communication open.

Why Wear a Chemise?

Who doesn't love to look and feel voluptuous? How you look says a lot about how your ambiance on both the inside and out. It builds confidence and allows a woman to look and feel the best that she can. When it comes to lingerie, there is so much more to truly know about it than meets ones eye. In fact, if you think that you know everything about lingerie, you very well may not actually. I thought that I did, yet everyday I learn something new whether how it can be worn as an accent, which piece to wear and why, along how to select the right color that works with your body and your skin tones. You see my friends, defining what a chemise is not as easy as one might think. Do you even know what a chemise is? A lot of people do not, and that's both men, and women. I'd like to share with you the standard chemise and explain it in more detail. I happen to be one of those women who love this particular item of women's intimate apparel.I also happen to know that men go nuts over women in lingerie.

There are so very many forms of the chemise still around today. We sell a large variety of them at our two online boutiques, www.SimplyDeliciousLingerie.com
and www.SimplyLusciousLingerie.com our plus size intimate apparel store. There is the original version of the chemise also called “léine” by the Irish, or so I was told. A leine is a simple shirt or smock worn under the clothes. Its original design was to keep sweat and body oils from staining and/or spreading to the outer garments. It first became really popular back in the European middle ages. Women would wear them under their gowns or robes depending on their social status. Men even wore chemises with their trousers and covered it with doublets and royal robes, as well. In this day and age, the chemise was the only piece of clothing that was actually regularly washed because it was against the skin. As time moved on, the men’s chemise fell out of fashion, but the women’s did not. The only remnants left of the male chemise is in shirts today. In most Western cultures, women still wear chemises in some fashion or another. Some styles are still reminiscent of the original, while others are now considered lingerie.

Chemises that still resemble the one from centuries ago come in an array of fabrics today.  There are a couple of types that women can wear so I'll elaborate a bit to share the information with you:

The standard cotton and satin chemises are the most popular ones. These can be worn under formal Renaissance dress, used as sleepwear, or as shirts. They are still very popular today and have many functions. Most are offered in white, cream, and black so they can be worn under just about anything. The white and cream are the most common colors and most widely used. The black has become more popular in the 20th century and can be used under specific gothic attire. No matter how you use a chemise of this type, it can be fun and fashionable. It can also be sensual, sexy and seductive. It can accommodate you and make a great and comfortable nightgown as well. This is a lightweight garment that is so comfortable it can be slept in any time of the year.

The other more popular and common type of the chemise is the lingerie piece that has come to the forefront in modern culture. This type of chemise is a slip like garment that has spaghetti type straps to hold it on the shoulders. It can be worn under dresses and/or skirts or used as intimate apparel. This flirty little mini-slip is approximately thigh length or a little above. This is what most Americans call a chemise and not the original garment. These are very easy to find in any department or retail lingerie store just about anywhere. Chemises come in an array of fabric types, colors, and designs. Most styles offer a variety of textures and fabric combinations that can suit any woman’s desire. The total possible combinations are endless. Designers have flooded the market with any possible color and/or fabric combination and possibility.

Some common standards for chemises as lingerie are crushed velvet, silk, satin, lace, and mesh. The simple sexy crushed velvet chemise is a classic always. It is sexy and sweet all at the same time. Its soft texture is pleasant to touch and wear yet doesn’t reveal too much and is seductively flirty. The silk and satin chemises are soft and sensual and can be a bit more playful. You can get them with just the silk or satin or with a combination of other materials. Many chemises of this style incorporate lace, mesh, embroidery, and sequins for that extra pizzazz., and honestly, who doesn't love the glam and glitter?

Many women today will wear a chemise as a dress out on the town as long as it is not too revealing...many are quite revealing, nonetheless, we have some that could be worn out and about. Chemises also come in full lace or mesh and a combination of both. These are sexy play outfits to be worn generally for intimate play. The color schemes of chemises can range in so many possible directions. What color you choose is going to have much to do with your skin tone and hair/eye color. You can have anything from solid colors that can range from bold, pastel, to earth tones. There are also two-toned chemises that have an array of color displays as well. What ever you decide to go with you can bet your will look fabulous and sexy. Shop with us today and see why so many customers love our selection, prices and what keep them coming back time and time again.

Good Deeds...Just Do It!

Kindness and good deeds promote emotional, mental and even physical well being. There is not a day that goes by that we don't have an opportunity to do a "good deed" for someone. So why then do so many people struggle with doing good deeds for others if they are fully capable to do so? Lazy, selfish or just plain flat out ignorant? My guess would be all of the above. Perhaps they are, or perhaps they weren't raised by parents and grandparents like I was that taught me to be good to others, to show respect and that even something as simple as making a complete stranger smile was a good deed!

Doesn't it make sense that the more goodwill you spread the more positive the energy will be that surrounds you? I don't know about you, but I am a happy woman. Some might not know that nor do they know the emotional, physical and mental crap I've been through in the past 13 years but guess what? I don't go around talking about the bad times looking for sympathy. I look for good things to do that will impact others lives around me so that they too will feel the sense of happiness that I do on a daily basis. Life is too short to be unhappy. Life is too short to not give a damn, but so many people don't.

All of us are guilty of rushing through our day so quickly that we forget about the clerk at the store, the gas station attendant, the bank teller, the dry cleaner, the hostess/host, or the server at the restaurant,..so STOP and say "thank you"..You know, they are people just like anyone else and they too deserve to be treated well. So pay them all a little respect how 'bout it? They are living their lives and have their own hopes, dreams and sorrows. The next time your in the checkout lane stop counting your money...look  cashier in the eyes and genuinely ask: "How are you today?" or say "You look very nice today!" A kind word to a stranger will make both of you feel good! What you say to that one person could make all the difference in the world to them, and it takes such little effort on your behalf.

I always like the "pay it forward" idea. I practice it daily and I still wish there were more people that lived with that intention. Unfortunately we live in a very greedy, self-oriented society where people only give when they feel they can get something back. Shame on you! The concept of doing something good for another person and never personally getting anything back from it is alien to many, and downright offensive to some. However, the few people that give without the desire to receive seem to live happy lives full of good things.

This may make some of you angry, but so be it; Listen, if you think that you are too good for this, that you're role doesn't consist of you attributing to kindness, or if your job title gives you the liberty to set yourself aside from us little people...your title doesn't mean shit if you can't show a little respect toward others, you should be ashamed of yourself!  Please come down off that pedestal you are sitting on and join the normal people for a while, you just might like it! I truly believe in good deeds and karma.

Take today for example...here I was sitting and writing a blog about 'good deeds' when my mother came screaming in the house "OMG Shelly help me!" I dropped what I was doing and flew down the steps from my office only to find her (Maryanns) tush sticking out the the lower deck as she handed me a baby kitten. A mama cat went under the decks and had herself a litter. My mother felt it was her job to rescue them, feed them and give them better shelter. What can I say, everyone feels safe at my house. We are like the happiness hotel to all the stray animals in the neighborhood.

Apparently mom heard screaming and whining so she crawled under the deck. (imagine that if you would)...By the time I got outside, there was one stuck in between the house and the beams of the foundation. Now, anyone who knows my dad (or as I like to call him BIG MIKE) would know that when he builds something, it isn't going anywhere EVER! We could not get the boards apart to free the kitten. Mom and I tried but we couldn't get the kitten out so we then called for backup! One of the neighbor guys came over, crawled under the decks and rescued the baby kitten. Jerry is our hero of the day! That was a good deed. I was so happy and  being the pet lover that I am was also so grateful to this kind man for saving the day! He didn't think anything of it, but we thought the world of him!

In this day and age, we also find ourselves in a time where gratitude is not shown as it should be.If we all did good deeds and asked people to pay it forward, imagine the change it could make in the world. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to resurrect this idea and begin spreading it again. The positive impact might be greater than we could ever imagine, and life would be good.Hey, just do it! Remember, smile at someone today, do a good deed, for someday, when you least expect it, life will repay you!

Do You Have Cellulite?

Cellulite – The worst thing that any woman could have and experience that's so damn hard to get rid of....So what it is exactly, and how does one get it? It’s that ugly little problem that causes your skin to wrinkle up and look like an orange peel. Has it happened to you? Hey listen, I'm, 48 not a dinosaur. I want to stay looking good, not gross and frumpy...you should too. So what its it and how the hell do we get rid of it? Oh if there were a magic pill for this I would own the patent to it for sure! No one is 100 percent sure what causes cellulite, but it appears to originate from our own female hormone. In fact, nearly 98% of girls develop at least a small amount of cellulite after reaching puberty. Those back-stabbing hormones of ours seem to be triggered during adolescence, when they begin laying down fat, particularly in the hips and the thighs, by enlarging cells, and let me tell you...it gets worse as we age. Lymph fluids then gradually pass through the tissue and accumulate in areas with poor circulation. The fat then becomes compressed and starts to harden into lumps. Over time, these lumps are visible through the skin. As we get older, our skin and hormones continue to change and it can get worse. Isn't that just great?

Some experts believe that certain lifestyle factors, such as lack of exercise and taking in high levels of toxins, like alcohol and coffee, increase the likelihood of developing cellulite. Bearing this in mind, the best way to treat cellulite is to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid getting it altogether. Me go a day without a can of COKE? Are you serious?

Of course, avoiding getting cellulite isn’t necessarily all that easy. For some women, developing cellulite is simply the result of genetics, a part of the aging process, or due to pregnancy. Furthermore, many of us already have it and just want to know how to get rid of it.

One way to get rid of cellulite is through exercise. Sitting for long periods of time decreases our body’s circulation. In fact, the most stubborn cellulite deposits are often located right in the area where the leg meets the chair while sitting, most likely because this is the area where the circulation was cut off.
A sluggish circulatory makes it more difficult for the blood and the lymphatic system to send oxygen around the system and to remove toxins. Therefore, regular exercise that can is brisk, yet gentle, is one way to treat cellulite. Swimming and walking are great ways to do this.

Cellulite can also be treated with skin brushing and massage. These forms of treatment help to clear and cleanse the lymphatic system by speeding up circulation. This, in turn, gets rid of cellulite that has been building up for a long time in the body cells. A wooden brush with a long handle is needed for skin brushing. To perform skin brushing successfully, the brushing should be done in an upward direction with firm sweeping strokes. The process should begin at the soles of the feet and gradually move upward on the body. Special attention should be paid to areas that are prone to cellulite. In these areas, the brush strokes should follow a small, circular pattern. Over brushing, however, can irritate the skin and cause reddening.

Weight loss and drinking plenty of water can also help in treating cellulite. Accumulated toxins need to be flushed from the system in order to restore skin tone. The liver, in particular, needs to be cleansed as its job is to help the body filter out toxins. In addition, weight gain will only cause cellulite to worsen. On the other hand, weight loss in a person who is overweight can help decrease the appearance of cellulite. In addition to these methods, there are several creams and lotions available on the market that claim to aid in the reduction of cellulite. Some of these creams can be costly and have little proven effect on the reduction of cellulite.

A more invasive means of treating cellulite is the use of surgery. Cellulite treatment surgeries, such as liposuction, are available which are capable of removing inches of collected fatty tissue from various parts of the body, including the abdomen, legs, arms, back, neck, and face. Who has the monies for this? Its not covered by insurance because its cosmetic. Isn't that just peachy?

Fact: Liposuction does not, however, change the structure of the skin. Therefore, it does not eliminate cellulite forever. In addition, as with any surgery, liposuction has risks. Also, it will not result in the “perfect” body – and it’s not cheap, either. Therefore, it is important to become well-educated about cellulite treatment surgeries before plunging into this form of cellulite treatment.

The dreaded cellulite is very unattractive and no woman is happy to discover a new deposit on her body. Therefore, the best line of defense is prevention – drink plenty of water and exercise regularly to keep your circulation flowing and your body free of toxins. This may help. If anyone has a better idea or more tips, please share them with me so that I can pass them on to other women.

7 Do's and Don'ts for a Healthier Relationship

Do you know how to build a healthy relationship? Each of us enters into romantic relationships with ideas about what we want based on family relationships, what we've seen in the media, and our own past relationship experiences. Holding on to unrealistic expectations can cause a relationship to be unsatisfying and to eventually fail. Don't confuse sex with love. Don't confuse lust with love. Especially in the beginning of a relationship, attraction and pleasure in sex are often mistaken for love. Respect, respect, respect. Inside and outside the relationship, act in ways so that your partner always maintains respect for you. Mutual respect is essential to a good relationship.
  • Build. Build a foundation of appreciation and respect. I cannot stress this enough. My grandmother used to say "Any one can have a relationship built on sex, but a great relationship should be established and built with a solid foundation to grow and strengthen." Focus on all the considerate things your partner says and does. Happy couples make a point of noticing even small opportunities to say "thank you" to their partner, rather than focusing on mistakes their partner has made.
  • Explore. Explore each other's interests so that you have a long list of things to enjoy together. Try new things together to expand mutual interests.
  • Establish. Establish a pattern of apologizing if you make a mistake or hurt your partner's feelings. Saying "I'm sorry" may be hard in the moment, but it goes a long way towards healing a rift in a relationship. Your partner will trust you more if he or she knows that you will take responsibility for your words and actions.
  • TRUST…this is the primary part of the relationship. Without it you have nothing and if she doesn't trust you, you've got nothing. No sexting, no texting and no meeting other women, not even for coffee. If you are in a committed relationship, honor it. End of discussion. Period.

Keep the Communication Open!
Don’t let life separate you too long. With technology today, you can stay in touch with cell phones and email. No need to overdo it and be obsessive and controlling, but do stay in touch off and on throughout the day with quick “Hellos” and “How are things going?”

Lemonade
Make lemonade out of those relationship lemons. And “yes” there will be some, since life is not perfect! For example, when your partner is late and you miss a movie date or restaurant reservation, don’t make it a night of terror and destroy what’s left when you finally do get together. Do something else instead, like relax at home with a video and scented candles, and order subs (and lemonade!)

Make her HAPPY!
Remember how your felt when you first got together? Do those little things that you did at the beginning and make the 'honey list!' Bring home fresh flowers, send her a text that you miss her or love her, relax together and watch what she likes to watch on television not just golf! Dance with your mate, compliment your mate, make dates to go to places you used to frequent (the old neighborhood pizza parlor, a local drive in and share the stories with her as to why these places have meaning to you.)

Nuts and Bolts
Don’t focus so much on the “nuts and bolts” of who said what, when, how often and why they were wrong…. In other words, sometimes during an argument, try losing your memory of who did what, when and how many times in the past. Instead, humble yourself, apologize for having messed up and hug your mate! No time for fighting, enjoy and savor the moment.

Open
Open windows when doors close. If you feel you’ve been pushed to the limit and don’t want to try one more time, close the door on that angle of the issue. Take a walk, get some ice cream and cool off (literally). Think before you speak. My grandmother taught me this one and it works! Once you say something you regret, its far too late to take it back with that dreaded.."I'm sorry bullshit" Return relaxed and refreshed, and open a window to air differences.

Parental Issues
Even the best of relationships deal with someone’s past parental issues from time to time. Seeking advice from a professional can help, yes, but something out of the blue can still trigger a parental issue that someone struggles to deal with regardless of age, it seems. In these cases, just realizing and stating that it’s normal, may never get resolved and is okay to move on, can work wonders – for both parties.

Quality vs Quantity
With hectic schedules, quality time is vitally important. I've always said 'quality supersedes quantity.' If you can only see him twice a week and not 5 days...so what? Enjoy the moments that you do have and appreciate the value. Its not how often you see the other person that really matters its the events that led up to that special time that you did have together that should count! So even if you can only meet a few times, make and keep that date. You’ll probably be especially glad you did when times get tough and have the wonderful memories to help get you by.

Do You and Your Mate Fight?

For as long as I can remember, fighting with your spouse/partner/lover/etc was nothing more than a small argument that started out as nothing (like he didn't take the trash out, or she didn't wash the dishes earlier and now she used all the hot water and he just took an icy cold shower.) It happens, little things set us off and make us want to take off our gloves and box this one out to see who's right and who is so so wrong!

Ask yourself this....Do the differences between men and women contribute to the levels of fighting in relationships? They surely do. Scientists assert that men and women have different ways of dealing with arguments. Men are more left-brained and logical whilst women are more right-brained and more in touch with their emotions.

In earlier days when men went out to hunt animals, they had to switch off their emotions such as fear, in order to achieve their aim of capturing their prey. Women, on the other hand have always tended to be the nurturers and child-rearers and thus tend to have developed a richer emotional experience through their caring responsibilities. Although these differences apply less these days as many men have become more feminine and many women more masculine, there still seem to be patterns that are biologically programmed which affect the way that you act in your communication, both generally and with the opposite sex. It seems that, as the identities of the genders have merged, it has created a generation of angry men and women and much confusion about expectations and gender roles. When you read this, you may see yourself as fitting in more with the masculine patterns if you are a woman or the feminine patterns if you are a man. This is perfectly OK - in order to change your patterns you first need to become aware of what they are and how they are not serving you.If they are not serving you well, it's time to reevaluate and take charge making the necessary changes!

How Relationship Fighting Starts

Let's look at how arguments and fights normally begin in relationships. Generally something is said or done which may be relatively minor. It triggers feelings in one partner of being unimportant, taken for granted, used, or giving more than they are getting back. However, this may just be a perception and may not be accurate. It is easy to forget about your partner's good points and all the things that they do for you when your anger is sparked habitually. My grandmother always used to say that communication is "KEY!" Without your relationship will not survive!

So, basically, one partner is unhappy because the other has said or done something which is not in accordance with their wishes. One way or another they let the other know. If communication patterns are poor, this generally doesn't go down too well. If resentment has been building up over this or other issues in either of the partners, this can cause a backlash which is far worse than the perceived original "crime".  I've got an idea? Take off the gloves and fix this mess before it spins out of control!

First Impressions

There's an expression that says "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." This is especially true when it comes to dating. That impression will be formed on that first experience and, although that impression can be altered over time, that first impression is what they are going to remember.
The point is that we all form that first impression and we always remember it. That is why your dating manners need to be top notch!!

You only get one opportunity to make that first impression. That first date is the most important opportunity. So, we're going to offer you a few special tips for your first date. You should know the proper dating etiquette. You may not know this but there are some basic principles you should know so that you'll have healthy dating experiences. No one taught me these tips. They'll help make a great impression......Remember, relax, be yourself, no phony bologna! No one wants that. Most people want to see the "real deal!"

The expected behavior of men and women are different when it comes to dating. So, we want to make sure that the guys and gals are prepared. What are the dating rules? We're about to discuss a few....that way, you will always know what you should be doing on a date as well as what to expect from the person you are dating. It seems like one of the hardest things to do on a first date is to find something in common so that you have something to talk about. There is nothing more uncomfortable than a first date with boring conversation where there is too much silence. Allow me to rescue you from this tragedy with ideas for first dating discussions.

Impressing someone on a date is not always what you say and how you act. The impression you give is also based on how you look. We'll provide you with tips for dating fashion etiquette. Let the way you look speak volumes about the type of person you are by outfitting yourself in the best clothing and dress possible.  Confidence speaks volume! Show him/her that that you have confidence in yourself and the determination to be at your best....that's all that you'll need.

How you look is also part of dating etiquette. You want to shine.....remember, there are men and women everywhere and you are replaceable. No need to look like a freak show,.....that's a turn off...Don't wear a lot of make up. If you do, perhaps cut back a little. My grandmother always used to say that a man should see the same woman that he spends all day with when he awakens....this means, you should look the same (appearance wise...) in the morning when you roll out of bed as you do most of the day. If you wear 5 layers of make up, you're covering up your true beauty and you certainly won't look the same when you wake up until you put your face back on. How can you possibly shine under all of that make-up? Show him the real you! As much as some of you don't want to hear this.....guys dig the girl next door look. Go simple, elegant and stunning......straight cut dress....scoop next but not too low, enough to show your curves...remember, you want him to notice and remember you, not the boobs and ass,.....Yes, he'll notice and he'll see a vision of true beauty. You want to be the last thing he thinks about before he closes his eyes, and the first thought in his head when he awakens. You want to get in his head, and above all, in his heart!

Speak with volume, stick with professional topics, never go religion or politics on a first or second date unless you are prepared to possibly see fireworks, and I don't mean the enjoyable ones. Shit is going to hitteth the fan if your selection in topics clash, especially topics as such. Here's the safe zone subjects; You can ask about their career, their family and by all means, talk about the news, I mean CNN News not E-News!...Know your current events! Beauty and brains are quite the package and such a turn on to a man. Talk about yourself so that he gets a better understanding of who you are, only then will he begin to understand your likes and dislikes, in reality, this all takes time.....Always ask her/him a variety of questions to keep the conversation flowing....Get a good feel for her/him, and if you make it through the first date, your second one will be a lot less stressful! Trust your instincts.

Are You Superwoman?

Ladies,......Do you often feel like you have to be "superwoman?" Are you struggling with the hustle and bustle of everyday routines? Do you try to make everyone happy all the time? Are you taking time to make "you" happy? It's all about social skills,...the "how to's." Stop trying to wear too many capes all at once...

Social skills are all the things we should say and do (or not say and do) when we interact with other people.  Identify your areas of strengths and areas that could benefit from improvement by using a social skills. Do you feel like you're being pulled in ten different directions? You aren't alone on this one....most of us do at times.Women often don't have the luxury of a singular focus, especially in their assumed role as social coordinator and household manager. Forgive and forget the idea that women should "be it all" and "do it all" for their spouse, family, employer, and delegate! Everyone can help with household tasks in some way, trust me,.... if this doesn't happen....you know how that saying goes..."If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

Rule #1 Keep her Happy!!! Women are usually more aware of the social connections of others around them, and therefore more aware of their isolation or failure to live up to the social expectations. This can often lead to loneliness and sometimes even depression. This happens more often than not when you are trying too hard to make everything right. It's no good when you're giving 80% and the partner/spouse/family is only giving 20%. If this is going on, it is definitely time to change the rules!Women are supposed to know more about appropriate social behaviors, right? Says who?We aren't perfect, nor have we claimed to be. Embrace life, take one day at a time, and take a deep breath....

Slow down, you're not in a race to any finish line, and if things don't get done today, do them tomorrow. Gone are the days of thinking that kryptonite is your super power....you've got something far better...you've got confidence!Yes, with a positive attitude you are faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locamotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Your mind and your body are your super power and if you use them combined in a conscientious effort, you can be superwoman in the household, at the work place and super sex goddess in the bedroom!
