Do You and Your Mate Fight?

For as long as I can remember, fighting with your spouse/partner/lover/etc was nothing more than a small argument that started out as nothing (like he didn't take the trash out, or she didn't wash the dishes earlier and now she used all the hot water and he just took an icy cold shower.) It happens, little things set us off and make us want to take off our gloves and box this one out to see who's right and who is so so wrong!

Ask yourself this....Do the differences between men and women contribute to the levels of fighting in relationships? They surely do. Scientists assert that men and women have different ways of dealing with arguments. Men are more left-brained and logical whilst women are more right-brained and more in touch with their emotions.

In earlier days when men went out to hunt animals, they had to switch off their emotions such as fear, in order to achieve their aim of capturing their prey. Women, on the other hand have always tended to be the nurturers and child-rearers and thus tend to have developed a richer emotional experience through their caring responsibilities. Although these differences apply less these days as many men have become more feminine and many women more masculine, there still seem to be patterns that are biologically programmed which affect the way that you act in your communication, both generally and with the opposite sex. It seems that, as the identities of the genders have merged, it has created a generation of angry men and women and much confusion about expectations and gender roles. When you read this, you may see yourself as fitting in more with the masculine patterns if you are a woman or the feminine patterns if you are a man. This is perfectly OK - in order to change your patterns you first need to become aware of what they are and how they are not serving you.If they are not serving you well, it's time to reevaluate and take charge making the necessary changes!

How Relationship Fighting Starts

Let's look at how arguments and fights normally begin in relationships. Generally something is said or done which may be relatively minor. It triggers feelings in one partner of being unimportant, taken for granted, used, or giving more than they are getting back. However, this may just be a perception and may not be accurate. It is easy to forget about your partner's good points and all the things that they do for you when your anger is sparked habitually. My grandmother always used to say that communication is "KEY!" Without your relationship will not survive!

So, basically, one partner is unhappy because the other has said or done something which is not in accordance with their wishes. One way or another they let the other know. If communication patterns are poor, this generally doesn't go down too well. If resentment has been building up over this or other issues in either of the partners, this can cause a backlash which is far worse than the perceived original "crime".  I've got an idea? Take off the gloves and fix this mess before it spins out of control!

Stockings...Why Women Feel so Sexy Wearing Them

For several years now, women have worn stockings to cover their legs, to keep warm and to dress up their wardrobe/business attire. Wearing these stockings are like putting the icing on the cake, however, in the southwest, where the weather is so hot and humid, you don't see women wearing stockings, pantyhose, or anything unless it's in the bedroom with some sexy lingerie. There are a number of features that have gone into the stocking today as we all know it that was a trademark of the vintage style. In many stockings, the seam in the back is one of those things that made it into today’s stocking and remains classy. There large differences between the vintage pairs and today’s stockings besides all the colors available.

Full-fashion Stockings have a hand-sewn seam in the back not machine sewn. This added to the life expectancy of the hose. The seam ran all the way down to the heel, which was darkened. The darkening of the heel and even toe area was where the stocking had been reinforced during the knitting process. This caused them to be a bit darker than the rest of the hose. However, most people would never know the difference in the seam anyway. The real difference is the keyhole welt at the top of the stocking in the back that is doubled over.

The stocking industry began to fill a new market when pantyhose took over, the intimate apparel market. They became a leading fashion with a garter belt in women’s lingerie. Men and women alike could still see and feel the sexiness of the hose but in a whole new way from earlier times. Women liked the convenience of the pantyhose for every day use, even though it ran so easily. If you snagged it on anything it would tear. This was because it was produced by one continuous thread. Therefore, it wasn’t as sturdy as the stocking even when interwoven with other materials such as cotton. To snag them or totally run them isn't cheap either, they are costly to replace. Women though continue to love stockings and thigh highs because they are satisfying to our cravings and our needs.

The reason stockings are so sought after and loved is because they are just plain sexy. They have a special kind of allure to them. Men’s imaginations go insane when they see a woman in a pair because they are so seductive and sensuous. Women and men love the feel of a stocking. There is nothing better for a woman that to rub her legs together under her skirt and feel how silky and sexy her legs feel. Simply Delicious Lingerie offers a 4/$20 stocking sale. Like an octopus, get 8 legs for a low, low price!

The History of the Corset

Back in the day,the first corsets were not of the type of fabrics we see today. In fact, they were made of different types of fabric and leather that had sewn-in pieces of wood or metal to give the garment its stiffness, and OMG talk about what an uncomfortable feeling that must have been? The rigidness of the corset was to support the body and not in anyway meant to enhance the bust. In fact, most corsets of that time flattened the bust and gave women a hard, standoffish appearance that was associated with being a lady during that era, and they were so uncomfortable too. It was the female representation of armor that the men would wear. In no way was it designed to become a slimming device or bust enhancement., and lets face it, not all women have the same shape. We all want to show off our curves one way or another.

However, women of the earlier time periods were not to show themselves in such a way to draw sexual attention like they are today. It would flatten the breasts out and the only female curves allowed to be accentuated was the maternal curves of the hips to show a woman is a vessel for creating new life. It also set apart the upper and lower class women of the society. Only the wealthy could import the desired fabrics from Asia and other countries to have a corset made.

During the time of the late Renaissance era, Queen Elizabeth I transformed the common Tudor style corset into the Elizabethan style corset with the lacing many people have come to associate with the corset today. The lacing of this style was not for cinching the waist. This was done using bandages, yes bandages! The lacing simply made the corset easier to get into and out of.

As the era moved along, some European countries began to style the corset with tight lacing now to thin out the waist. The typical hoop skirts of the time were quickly falling out of fashion and the corset was still popular. The addition, the use of more easy-going lace dresses with bolsters on the hips for that childbearing look fell into fashion. This was France’s lead in fashion during the times. If the corset was boned and got too uncomfortable, such as during meals, the boning could be removed for some expansion flexibility. Once the early 17th century came a major change took place. Women were now allowed to pursue the art of tailoring. Women today are finding that wearing a corset is fun, perhaps still a bit uncomfortable, yes, nonetheless you can dress up a pair of jeans with the right accessories and the perfect corset to accentuate your breasts.

For the first time, women were now able to cater to other women. Being more familiar with the needs and desires of  females, corsets took on a whole new dimension. This was the first appearance of specialty tailors who only made corsets and bodices. Today, many of the styles remain the same, and women still look exquisite in corsets. Oh, and yes, men still find them stunning and sexy! Today corsets are enticing, intriguing and super erotic, especially to men. Yes ladies, these little numbers, are his is the icing on the cake!

How to Make your Favorite 'LBD' look like a Dozen beautiful dresses!

If we ask any woman about their favorite party outfit, the answer would surely be a little black dress. Every woman should have at least 2 or 3 tucked away in their closet. There are reasons galore for needing this as an important part of your wardrobe. The most obvious being, it definitely flatters the figure and gives the slimming effect which everyone would agree. You can multitask with it which means it can be worn at work with a formal jacket and then changed as party wear for evening or even on a casual hang out with friends. Though it provides one with a slimming effect it is imperative that your little black dress has a perfect fit, good quality and a timeless style. This would ensure making you look sophisticated as well as sexy.

Now it can get boring sometimes to wear the little black dress for many occasions. But rest be assured, there are ways and means to bring your dull outfit to glory. It can be dressed up for parties, weddings or be dressed down for funeral, formal meetings etc. So now that you have the dress, what else do you need? 3 things and you are golden! I've listed them below. By using a variety of accessories, you can take the same dress or two and make them look like a dozen different dresses throughout the year. With economy as it is and everyone on a tight budget, this makes dressing up your party dress fun and at a cost that won't break the bank!

Jewelry
It is the most important means to give a new look to your little black dress. I love getting creative, just don't go overboard though...keep it simple! Eye catching necklace or earrings ranging from delicate pearls to diamonds or even chunky heavy jewelry and bangles complement the little black dress without any ado. It also shows your flair for style. Depending on the occasion, the jewelry can be selected. Even something as simple as a brooch gives it that special look for any trendy occasion. Remember, you want to look classy.

Shoes
You can change the look by experimenting with shoes which can make your little black dress look completely different. Personally, I love to rock a LBD with Jimmy Choo shoes! Ranging from high heeled stilettos which go remarkably well with little black dress, to a simple pair of black pumps also suit the outfit. As black shoes would be boring and predictable on black outfit, going colorful would be a better idea. It will also give that much needed contrast to the outfit. Whatever the style or designer you choose, just remember to keep it eye catching to your peers. Don't go all overboard and wear shoes with too big of heels and leopard skin or something worse yet. Simple is best, I recommend a solid color or a black and white mix.

Bags & Belts
Accessorizing with the right clutch or handbag will definitely add to the glamour factor. I don't have a preference on name brand bags and belts as so many designers make a beautiful variety of them. When you mix and match bags and belts you create a number of looks that will attribute to the beauty of the LBD and if you do it up right, you'll stand out. Either a simple or fashionable clutch with array of colors goes well with the black outfit. The shoes and bag can be matched or at least complement each other which would definitely make the whole look striking in totality. Similarly belts give that much needed emphasis and diversion from the black dress. It also can help in changing the look of the dress. Depending upon your body structure the belt can help in hiding the flaws and enhancing the assets.

Remember to shop Simply Delicious Lingerie for sexy matching sets to wear under that LBD!
