If you are a woman, then you know when someone pays you a compliment that it does something to you and it makes you feel good inside! Regardless of what that compliment may or may not be, it means that someone thought enough of you to share their thoughts...Last night I received a compliment that made me take a few steps back. I was out with friends for dinner and cocktails when a man sent me a martini and a message on a napkin that said "I cannot tell a lie, the thigh highs caught my eye... if i was superman they would be my kryptonite!"
It's things like this that a man says to a woman that makes her feel good, deep down, not just on the surface. It means that a man took the time, not only to admire the view, but to observe the situation and comment on it knowing that what he said would do for a woman what compliments do to boost a mans ego. When a woman receives a compliment it's like getting the 4 A's; admiration, applause, appreciation and approval. When you think about it, what woman doesn't want a man to notice her like that? In my case this was just a man that happened to be sitting across the room that noticed me as I walked by to meet up with friends. This is the kind of compliment a woman never forgets.
There is something to be said about a man who takes the time to not only admire you from afar, rather take the time to bring to your attention that you have just made him buckle at the knees so to speak. This man has no idea what this simple gesture did for my confidence, nonetheless, I am grateful to say the least. I'm not the only woman who appreciates this token of kindness. Women in general love compliments!

1. Listen, Listen and Keep On Listening...
We eat it up when we know that a guy is really paying attention. Whether you've only known her for a week or been married to her for 20 years, for heaven sakes, pay close attention to her lips away, and what her body is saying to you! There is nothing better and comforting to a woman then to be heard. When you hear her, show genuine interest. Listen with your ears and heart what she is telling you.Communicate love with her by listening to every word she is saying to you. Most of the time women do not want answers from you, they just want you to listen to them.
2. Pay Attention to Her...
I Mean "Really Pay Attention!"
Men already have the stereotype of bad listeners when comes to women, moreover, that they are inattentive and barely notice anything, unless it pertained to; a football field, a basketball court, or a golf course...Really fellas? Guess what? You better go to the shed and sharped those tools or you won't find a good woman. We want a man that listens to what we are saying. We want a compassionate man. You will have to tear down that wall and show her that you are an exception when it comes to her, that you notice and compliment her new hair style, her look, her everything! A women doesn't always change her appearance but it doesn't look good at all on your part guys when your lady doesn't something different like cut her hair, change the color, lose weight, etc and you don't notice. 3. Discover Things About Her
This means take the time to really understand her and what it is that she needs. It's the little things that catch our eye and our attention. While you sit marveling about what you can say to get us to noticed, the guy across the room from you will just come out and say what he is feeling/thinking. Get to really know her... Ask her about her day, her job, if she is in school again ask her about her classes, her new project at work or home. Ask and listen to her while she is telling you about herself and her life. Getting to know your woman is one of the most exciting things.
4. Show her You Care...Give Her Support
I am not talking about you being a good provider, especially not in the financial sense, because being an independent woman I think I can say that women can take care of themselves. 4. Don't Tell Her Shit...Tell Her the TRUTH!!
Listen, no woman wants to hear a line of crap a mile long...we aren't stupid and we certainly were not born yesterday. There is no worst thing than a two face man. Women can smell these fellas a mile away and when they open their yap and the stories get more and more profound, we are on to you like ham on rye. We want the truth, not some juicy story that you think we're going to go gaga over. Be honest and truthful with her. More than anything we appreciate the truth and we have much more respect for the men that speak it.
5. Admire Her and her Confidence...
Please don't mistake confidence for arrogance. They are two completely different things. Merriam-Webster defines confidence as "the quality or state of being certain." A confident woman is quite certain of who she is on the inside, make no mistake about that. She doesn't need anyone to feed her compliments or buy her things in order for her to feel good about herself.T ell and show her what you enjoy and admire about her. Tell her she looks pretty. Tell her you love her eyes or her hair, or her legs. When you laugh together, tell her much you appreciate her sense of humor. Respect her and treat her like a queen.
