Buttock Implants...Things You Should Know

Ever wished for buttocks that had a little more shape? So many women do, myself in this case...I don't need it, I have enough curve and cushion for 10 women, nonetheless, for the women who would like to add a little junk to their trunk, I've decided to write a bit regarding this for you today. Although for many years cultural standards of beauty were dominated by thin, linear figures, the balance has slowly been swinging in favor of more curvaceous body shapes, including an appreciation for properly proportioned buttocks, the type of buttocks many women are unable to achieve on their own. As a result, buttock augmentation has grown in popularity in recent years.

Women who want a larger and rounder backside can undergo an enhancement known as buttock augmentation. It seems that there are a variety of reasons that drives women to get any type of enhancement procedure. Most have to do with their own self-image, although what is viewed as desirable in the popular culture may have an influence. Although the particular feature of butt augmentation would appear to be emulating a body shape that many black women naturally possess, that does not seem to be the goal. Well it can be yours with the help of buttock implants. Also known as gluteal implants or buttock augmentation this surgical procedure involves the insertion of artificial implants in order to improve the size and shape of the buttocks.

This surgery is most often sought after by women who feel that their derriere is too flat and not round or sensuous enough looking for their taste. It is believed that the rise in this type of surgery in recent years has to do with the popularity of actress/singer Jennifer’s Lopez’s shapely figure. Singer Beyonce Knowles is another celebrity whose behind many women wish to replicate in themselves. Not only that but buttocks implants can plump up an underdeveloped backside and give a woman a much more proportional looking figure.

At your initial consultation with the plastic surgeon a number of things will be discussed. First of all as the patient you must discuss why you want to change the appearance of your buttocks and what you hope to achieve by having buttocks implants. It would be helpful if you bring pictures with you of buttock sizes you personally like the look of for your own. The plastic surgeon will be able to inform you of what size buttocks implants will be needed to reshape your backside. He/she will also discuss options for the surgery with you at that time. Some of the items that are necessary for you to know include the type of incision that will be made, the kind of implant that will be used, as well as the exact positioning of the implant. At this time you should make your doctor aware of any pre-existing health conditions you have as well as any medication you are taking. Find about the type of anesthesia that will be used during the procedure, what the procedure involves, how long it will take to perform, whether or not you will suffer discomfort afterwards and how long the recovery period will be. Any and all questions you have should be addressed at this time.

This type of surgery generally takes place over a period of two to three hours and depends on a variety of factors including the technique that the surgeon decides upon, the patient’s anatomy, the positioning of the buttocks implants and the type of anesthesia that is used for the procedure. Most of the time for this kind of surgery a general anesthesia is used (patient is asleep), however some surgeons prefer to use a local anesthetic accompanied by a sedative to allow the patient to be both relaxed and drowsy.

The incision for buttock augmentation can be made either down the crease of the buttocks or where the cheek of the butt meets the back of the thigh. The majority of the time the incision is made in the crease because the scars from the surgery will not be evident. However the drawback to this type of incision is that infections are more likely to occur here than if it is made in the back of the thigh.

The surgeon needs to create a “pocket” that is big enough to allow for the insertion of the buttocks implants. The implants can be placed in one of two places, either on top of the gluteus maximus muscle or under it. In some cases liposuction is also performed at the same time to remove excess fat, thus making for even better looking buttocks.

After finishing one side the surgeon then does the same to the other, making sure that both sides of the buttocks are natural looking as well as symmetrical. Finally to conclude the operation he/she stitches up the incisions.
Unfortunately this form of surgery carries with it the risk of a lot of pain afterwards as buttock augmentation stretches and pulls the tissues. The stretching is the worst if the implants were placed under the gluteus maximus muscle. The first 48 hours can be the most difficult for pain but it lessens after that time period. Taking a pain medication could help to relieve the discomfort somewhat. Many plastic surgeons will prescribe both an antibiotic as well as an anti-inflammatory medication to their patients after surgery.

Upon waking after the procedure, the patient is going to feel pretty sore, stiff and most likely, very tired. These symptoms are all very normal. A compression garment is put on patients after surgery for support and it should remain in place for the first few days following the surgery. Taking your medication as prescribed is very important in regards to healing. As a patient, you will not be able to drive yourself home and very likely will need someone to help you around the house for a couple of days afterwards. Most people find it necessary, and more comfortable to stay in bed for the first 24 hours after surgery. Rest and await your beautiful bum.

The Art of Flirting

Ahhhh for years women have flirted and quite frankly, we've become impressively good at it. The fine art of flirting is to catch a man’s eye without giving him the wrong impression. Often, this can be a challenge though. Why? Well, not all men get it. Some of them are on the slow bus and wouldn't know a woman was flirting if his life depended on it. Come on guys...Men must also be able to recognize the signs she's flirting. While any one of these visual cues taken alone often won't constitute a green light, a combination of multiple flirtatious cues should pique your interest. So, I've decided to lay down some distinct signs she's flirting with you, so you can recognize the bait she's laid for your affections. Women can sometimes be hard to read, but if you're armed with a guide to signs she's flirting, then you're already one step ahead.

 Here are 4 important tips on proper flirting;

The first rule of flirting involves making eye contact. In North American culture, woman can lock eyes with a man without being considered rude or slutty. It is intriguing and seductive. Even then, it’s a matter of catching his eye rather than locking eyes and feeling that he is now uncomfortable. What comes along with eye contact? A SMILE! Bring it ladies...a smile is worth more than you know. When a woman has an interest in you, her smile can hold your attention from across a crowded room and it is definitely one of the major signs she's flirting. It takes an effort on her part to do so, so if she’s exerting this kind of effort, engage in her flirting by returning the smile.

 She keeps walking by...
If it seems like she continues to walk by with apparently no sense of why she’s there, she’s there for you. She’s trying to get you to notice her with this obvious sign she's flirting, and you need to say something endearing. By walking past repeatedly, perhaps out of her way, she’s giving you a sense that she wants your attention, but she's making you work for it.

She draws attention to her mouth

A woman’s mouth can be extremely seductive, and she’s fully aware of this fact. Some of the effective signs she's flirting will have her applying lip gloss, running her finger across her lip or using the straw in her cocktail instead of just sipping from the glass. There is a tremendous amount of flirtatious energy tied up in a woman’s lips. Lips are flirting tools that are both potent and effective.

While relatively simple and commonplace, in the right hands a woman's hair is a versatile weapon. When trying to get your attention, she may twirl her hair in her fingers or let it cascade in front of one eye. I tend to call this the 'come-hither' approach.Listen ladies, accomplished flirters only make eye contact for a few seconds and act is if it was an accident. It’s a matter of perfecting the look that communicates, “I was actually looking for someone else, but you stepped into my line of vision.”

The second rule of flirting is to seem unconcerned about his response. If he read the signal and approaches, fine. If he doesn’t get it the first time, don’t give an instant replay. You might even act surprised that he thought you were interested in him.

Of course since he came over, you’re willing to look him over up close. But don’t appear obvious or desperate, either of which spoils the connection. The third rule of flirting is to wait for him to make the next move.
Don’t keep pouring it on unless you’re just trying to negotiate a price. That’s what it seems like when you’re flirting like a guided missile that’s honing in on a target. Let him be the pursuer - it’s a role he likes.

Guys are willing to take the easy girl, but they don’t tend to come back for more. Let him work at getting your attention. The fourth rule of flirting is to be natural. Once you have his attention, be yourself.

The final rule of flirting is to enjoy yourself. It’s certainly among your inalienable rights as a female to flirt. Just remember that as with fishing, flirting can be a pleasant sport - even if you don’t catch anything or if you have to throw back what you caught, it's intriguing for both parties involved to kick it up a notch and have some fun!

Birth Control and the Side Effects

What should you consider when deciding whether or not using some form of birth control is right for you? Why do women begin taking the pill or other forms of birth control? A woman may decide to use birth control to prevent starting or expanding her family. Some birth control may improve acne, while others may worsen it.The big question with women these days is; what birth control is right for me? With a variety of contraceptives on the market today, and so many to choose from, one must first determine which is going to work best with their own body.

What might be best for someone else many not work well at all for you. There are different types of birth controls around. Before you start using any, you should consider all of  the side effects. Ask your doctor to recommend the right type of birth control for you and if after a few weeks or even a month you are still having side effects, and just not feeling well, let your physician know right away as they may want to switch you to a different type.

Studies have shown that there are only two methods that do not have side effects. First is abstaining, however it may be hard sometimes to control the urge if both of you feel like doing it. The second is with the use of condoms because it does not release any hormones into the body and it is simply used as a barrier that is disposed off after intercourse.

Spermicides come in different forms. There are creams, film, gel, suppositories and tablets. The side effects of using them include the risk of TSS and one of you will experience a burning or itching sensation. It rarely causes a skin rash but when it happens, this will only go away after some time.

Those who choose to use the diaphragm are at risk of bladder and urinary tract infections. If you have had this in the past, you are strongly discouraged to stop using it. There have also been cases of toxic shock syndrome or TSS but is also quite rate. This should not left in the vagina for more than 24 hours because there will soon be a smelly vaginal discharge, an inflammation or an infection could occur.

Birth control pills; Birth control pills are taken orally and may contain estrogen and/or progesterone. The pill has benefits such as the convenience of taking it daily. The pills are usually small and easy-to-swallow, and birth control pills also help regulate a woman's period. As of 2010, there are three birth control pills currently on the market that help prevent or reduce acne. Risks associated with taking the pill include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, decreased sex drive, headaches and an increased risk of heart disease, blood clots, hypertension and hyperkalemia. Birth control pills do not protect against STDs.

Apart from conventional birth control pills, there is a new one called Seasonale. Since it has been around for only 5 years, there have only been a few reported cases of blood clots in the legs or lungs, stoppage or rupture of a blood vessel in the heart and other organs, liver tumors and high blood pressure. However, those who have been taking it regularly complain of breast tenderness, weight gain, vomiting and difficulty wearing contact lenses.

The morning after pill is better known as an emergency contraceptive pill or ECP. This must be taken 120 hours after unprotected vaginal intercourse. Its side effects are similar to that of conventional pills but if you happen to vomit within an hour of ingesting the pill, it is advised that you call a doctor. Another thing to keep in mind is that this should not be used as a regular birth control pill.

The patch is another and this is applied to the skin. One patch is good for a week and this has to be placed for three consecutive weeks and can be placed anywhere in the body. On the fourth week, the female doesn't have to stick anything so she can normally go through her monthly menstrual cycle. Side effects include application site reaction, breast symptoms, headaches, mood swings and vomiting.

Injectables are injected into the body every three months. The side effects include irregular periods, weight gain and vomiting. Something similar to that are implants and those who use it may experience irregular bleeding, headaches, nausea, depression, dizziness, nervousness, weight gain or loss and hair loss.

Majority of the birth control methods around have side effects. If you don't want to experience any, perhaps not having sex at all is the answer to your problems? My guess is that you'll learn to deal with some of the side effects because there aren't many people that I know that are taking the pill or using birth control of some sort that will just flat out stop having sex. Remember too that not all women that are put on birth control are taking it for those reasons. Many women are on birth control for other various reasons.

Brides-To-Be...Don't Stress, Delegate Responsibility!

Oh ladies...we stress out over this for months on end. Your wedding day, the day that you have played over and over in your head for years and years is finally here. Do you know how to delegate responsibilities so that you don't fall apart at the seams? Lets face it, most women have been dreaming and fantasizing of their wedding day since they were little girls. A bride to be has a clear idea of how she would like every detail of her wedding to be like. While it is very important to know exactly what you want, it’s also important to realize that planning a wedding is a major responsibility and that it’s entirely too stressful for the bride to take care of every detail herself. Many brides have a difficult time relinquishing any responsibilities involved with planning her wedding for fear of losing control but it’s really in her best interests to learn to delegate responsibilities. The maid of honor, parents of the bride, parents of the groom and even the groom are probably all eager and willing to help out with the wedding plans and it is important to let them do so.

The key to delegating responsibilities is to entrust others to take control of areas that you may not be especially particular about. For example the favors are a very important part of the wedding and the bride most likely wants to shop for and choose the favors herself. Her maid of honor or soon to be husband may accompany her on this shopping excursion for support and to offer their opinions but this is not likely a task that the bride will want to relinquish. Conversely, the bride may not be too particular about how the place cards are written out so this might be an example of a responsibility that can easily be delegated.

While the bride wouldn’t want to allow another member of the wedding party to choose her wedding dress, she may be interested in delegating other responsibilities related to her dress. For example the bridal shop probably sent the wedding dress out to be steam cleaned subsequent to the bride’s final fitting and it would be acceptable for the bride to entrust a trusted friend or family member with picking up the wedding dress and storing it wherever the bride will be dressing for the wedding. Although the wedding dress may be one of the most important items to the bride, she will likely not mind having someone else run out to retrieve the dress because it gives the bride just one less thing to worry about.

The bride may wish to work on the design and layout of the reception area but once all of the planning has been done, it is wise to delegate the responsibility of actually setting up the room to another friend or family member. The bride may wish to draw up exact specifications to demonstrate the look that she wants but she will surely be able to trust a family member to follow her directions and prepare the room to her expectations. As the reception area likely has to be set just prior to the reception it is really not feasible for the bride to be completing this task as she will most likely be needed elsewhere for photography sessions.

Still another aspect of the wedding that it may be wise to delegate is the addressing of thank you card envelopes. Once the guest list has been finalized and the guests have all RSVPed, it can be assumed that you will need a thank you card for each guest who responded affirmatively. The bride is likely to have no particular opinion on how the envelopes should be addressed so this is a perfect task to delegate. This is a menial but time consuming task that doesn’t directly affect the wedding so it is a prime candidate for delegation by the pastor.

The stresses of planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming for a bride who has not learned to delegate responsibilities to friends and family members who are likely standing by eager to help in any way possible. While it is understandable that a bride may wish for everything to happen according to her vision, it is also important to realize that although you may want to control every aspect of the wedding and the wedding planning; sometimes it is necessary to delegate responsibilities. Sharing certain responsibilities not only makes the bride feel less overwhelmed but also gives her more available time to focus on the critical aspects of her wedding planning. Today is all about you...this is your day, so enjoy it and make memories! Let others help you out so that you can relax a little and savor the day!
