The KEY to a GREAT SEX LIFE

Who doesn't want to be in a relationship with their partner and enjoy the best sex ever? If you want a great sex life, there is one thing that is absolutely essential. It's not having a super-toned body, being buff and tan or having long blonde locks of hair..no no no...the truth at hand is this; if you want to keep your love life passionate and exciting over the long term, you're going to have to start talking. Here are a few tips to use conversation to improve and sustain your sex life;

Communicate about what you and your partner want from one another!
One excellent use of conversation is to talk about what you want and to find out what your partner wants. Your lover can't read your mind any more than you can read hers (or his). Giving non-verbal communication in the bedroom is helpful, up to a point. But if that isn't getting you what you want, it's time to try putting your desires into words. Finding out what your partner wants is equally important. If you're a guy who's a little confused about how to please your lady, the answer is simple. The best way to find out what a woman wants is to ask her. Yup you heard me correctly...ASK! Many women (and quite a few men) are just dying to talk about their fantasies and desires and lets face it, we all have them...,All they need is a sincere invitation to open up, and you can offer that, so what the hell are you waiting for?

Spice up lovemaking with sexy conversation!
A bit of naughty and explicit sex talk while you are making love can add a new dimension of excitement. Not sure how to start? Begin by describing how gorgeous your partner's body is and how aroused you are getting. Talk about what you're doing, what you're about to do, and how it's going to make your partner feel. Even if you don't normally use explicit language, this may be the time to get a bit nasty and x-rated. Relax and shed those inhibitions.

Stuck in a rut? Your life as it looks now doesn't fulfill your needs. You've lost that loving feeling and struggle to remember those days when you felt connected and passionate with your partner. Now you are at a fork in the road. You may have a never ending, intolerable feeling of stagnation or be in the midst of a crisis. Either way, these worst case scenarios are also your wake-up call and opportunity. How you choose to act on behalf of yourself and your relationship moving forward from this day can and will make the difference. Communication is KEY! Once you have this your sex life will fall right into place and things will be great, however, this takes work and talking about it. Great sex lives don't happen by themselves and a solid relationship is about so much more than just great sex.

 Give your lover positive feedback...
If there's one thing we all love, it's a sincere compliment, and men love getting their egos stroked, so give them what they want and vice verse. Many people are a little insecure about their sexual abilities and they secretly wonder if they are good enough in bed. Make a point of telling your partner how exciting and skillful he or she was last night. A general comment such as "You were so hot" is all right, but try also to mention something specific they did and how great it made you feel. And you don't need to make a big deal about it. Even a few whispered words just before you leave for work will keep your partner glowing with pleasure all day long.

If you're already doing some of these things, that is fabulous! But if it's never occurred to you that conversation is essential for a great sex life, you may be quite surprised at how much of a difference just a few words can make! Follow my lead and my advice on this one, please. When you communicate about what you want, talk naughty at appropriate moments, and praise your partner's skill and desirability, you'll find that the payoff is much more than you could have imagined and your lover is now more enticed to explore more. COMMUNICATION is KEY in RELATIONSHIPS

Lack of communication in my book IS the BEGINNING OF THE END.
That’s really not surprising really...is it? Think about it....you share everything with this person, then one day you just stop talking freely and you start talking to your sister, or friend about issues in your relationship that really are no ones business but yours. It's no ones business to hear your personal woes. There is also a possibility that what you may be telling this person in confidence is being repeated for others to hear. Not nice...not good, and certainly not cool. Don Henley sang it best; Dirty little secrets...Dirty little lies...We got our dirty little fingers in everybody's pie...We love to cut you down to size....We love dirty laundry. Don't air yours in public. Relationships are like a bicycle...built for 2. You and the other person, not everyone else in timbuktu!

Good communication skills take lot's of practice. Remember, you’re communicating even though you may not be talking. Your body language and actions can speak volumes about what you like and dislike. Facial expressions say a lot too. Do you still smile at your spouse? Some spouses are afraid to smile or be too nice for fear of being asked to do something they don’t want to do. If that’s your attitude, maybe it’s time to talk. What ever you do, don'[t roll your eyes. It's rude, and so ignorant. It is also belittling YOU not the other person involved. If you’re not happy with your relationship be honest about it and seek a solution. Stop beating a dead horse and fix it. Solutions usually begin at the bargaining table where both parties are willing to negotiate and come up with a solution both can live with.

Find a good and convenient time to communicate. If either of you has a pressing project that needs to be completed or an upcoming appointment, then agree to a more convenient time. At least you’ve made the effort and the cards are on the table. Don’t trap your spouse in a situation where they must listen such as driving to visit the in laws. You may not be in a good mood when you arrive if this happens.

Be guarded...when suggesting a talk is necessary. Don’t be demanding but suggest you’d like discuss something that hasn
t be talked about in a while. Set a time to talk. Never good to throw something out there and not be able to fully get into the conversation in depth. Make time. This gives both of you time to organize your thoughts. It’s not good to come to the table unprepared wither, so for goodness sakes, gather all of your thoughts. Know what you’re unhappy with and how you’d suggest the problem be solved.

Once you’re talking, be a good listener. Listening is as important as talking. remember this is a two sided conversation and you are not the center of the universe, so if you think that you are, come down off your 'high horse' as my grandmother used to say and be reasonable for heaven sakes! If your spouse is not as good at communicating as you then compensate. Repeat what they’ve said by commenting something like “Here’s what I think you’re trying to say.” Don’t talk down to your spouse and make them feel inadequate. Both opinions are equally important.

No time for distractions when talking...if the radio or TV are going, turn them off...and certainly do not try to have a conversation when the kids are present. Bringing up a problem during dinner is not appropriate. That would qualify as trapping your partner and problem ruin both your appetites. Your attention must be undivided and you must make eye contact. Allow enough time for a complete discussion.

Strive for a solution but if one is not reached, reschedule a time to continue. Never get angry, and don’t give up. Remember, Rome wasn't built over night. Relationship disasters don't just happen. Something made this happen so figure out what to do to fix...or decide if it is worth fixing? When you stop communicating, then you have big problems. As long as you can discuss things, even if they are painful, you are keeping the lines of communication open and that is healthy for a good relationship. Trust me, I know this oh too well.

Remember it's not all about YOU. If your conversation is a more so private topic...where others may be involved... don't shout your dirty laundry from the roof tops... there’s another world besides yours and you must exist in both. Compromise is always a good choice. If you’re wrong, take responsibility and change. If no solution is apparent, professional help may be needed to assist you. Communication will not solve all of your problems but it’s a good beginning to find to get some resolution. Make the time!

Do You Listen?

Do you listen when people talk or do you just want to stick your fingers in your ears and not listen at all? We need to listen better whether it be in our personal lives or our professional lives. Did you know that with all the sales training and various techniques to get better at your job that are offered out there, 85% of the time people still continue to overlook the simplest thing to execute, and that is the "art of listening!" You need to really focus and pay attention! No time for daydreaming so take the ear plugs out and really pay attention to your friends, your kids, your spouse, partner, mate, lover, mistress, coworkers, boss,...WHO EVER it is for goodness sakes LISTEN!

Besides it is quite rude when you don't, especially if someone calls you out on it. Hello, welcome to my life, where my kids call me sometimes and I am in the middle of a blog article, entering orders, or reading emails from my shipping warehouses and they get so angry with me. Why? I'm tuning out what they are saying to finish what it was that I was doing when the called me.I am distracted by others around me or whatever it is that I am doing that makes them realize that I 'm not paying attention. There are times where my daughter will then say "Mother, what did I just say?" If I'm lucky I get at least half of it right, but quite honestly, I am ashamed that I missed most of the conversation.

No, this does not happen all the time but it does and both my son and daughter make light of it by telling me how terrible it truly it is. Sometimes they'll say, I have to go now. Guilt then eats away at me and I think to myself, 'tune out what your doing Michele and focus on them for a few minutes and their needs.' They may be seeking your advice or want your honest reaction to something and if you haven't a clue what they just said, chances are they won't come to you again for advice or your opinion. This isn't just something we do with out kids, it happens often with anyone that tries to pop our bubble while we are in the middle of something, or lost somewhere in deep thought!

Yes, communication is key, I say that day in and day out...so then why do we tend to tune things or people out when they are speaking? It's not all about me, me, me,...in fact, I don't talk personally about myself often at all. It's all family, or work. Just so that you know,...I am working harder now to be more alert and pay more attention to what my family says to me. Sometimes though, I am off far away and into some pretty deep thought and it all goes over my head, or as some would say, "in on ear and out the other!" So what do I suggest? Well what I have learned from my children is that listening carefully is the route to take! Pay attention to their wants and needs. Nothing in life is so important that you can't set it aside for 5 minutes.

Did you know that a  good listener attracts more clients and closes more sales than talking constantly about anything to do with you or the service you offer.Yup it sure does!  However, unfortunately, the typical sales person always has something more to say and a difficult time closing their yap. With practice, it's possible ... I know...I'm still learning. Now that I have my businesses, I do listen to others much better. My grandmother used to always say "Michele, keep your ears open and your mouth shut!" Remember the smallest details can be the key factors in stealing a major account from someone, or getting that raise/promotion that you've wanted for so long. So how exactly do you improve your skills by simply listening?

  • Listen with your eyes as well as your ears. Use your eyes and ears to show interest in your discussions with prospects. While listening carefully, your eyes can detect body language that can communicate information about what the person is saying and thinking.
  • Don't "overpower" prospects. You will meet prospects that you know you can win over with your intelligence, charisma, and confidence. If you treat these prospects with condescension because you know immediately they are within your grasp you will overpower and lose them. To truly listen to a timid or meek prospect, make the prospect feel vital, happy, and comfortable! This makes it a win/win situation!
  • Don't argue with prospects. If a prospect makes a statement that you strongly disagree with, do not get into an argument or a cat fight over it, please!!! Diplomatically and respectfully discuss your opinion. Your sincere respect for his or her point of view will build a deeper  admiration and loyalty. Your purpose is to encourage your prospect to speak freely and opening… making you a friend and confidant.
  • Never "dis" the competition. You heard me, don't knock them! Remember that your prospects might be good listeners too. If you speak negatively about others, prospects may be uncomfortable giving you information about themselves. That makes sense right? So please, do avoid attacking others to raise your status. This tactic only makes you look petty, lacking in confidence in your own skills, and will most certainly backfire on you somewhere down the line.
  • Listen to them more! Let them do the talking. It's not all about YOU, so shut up and listen! Be attentive and alert. No dreaming away in la-la land because chances are, they're going to ask you for your advice or opinion and you'll look like a moron if you have no clue what to say because you had your head up your ass and we're paying attention! Listen to every requirement, objection, and make note of as much personal information as possible. The only time you should monopolize the discussion is when you're sure you have what they are looking for… and even that discussion should involve questions and answers from the prospect.
As you can see, listening does not simply mean keeping your mouth shut. If this were the case, I would be in very big trouble! The true value in listening is what you learn, in addition to making your prospect feel like they are being "heard."Listen, interpret, and display understanding. Concentrate on your prospect's tone, inflection, body language, and breathing. With these clues, you'll better understand the prospect, the needs, the wants, and how you can satisfy that need.Your friends, kids, spouses, mates, lovers, mistresses and coworkers will be grateful indeed!

Communication is KEY in Relationships!

If I said it once, I've said it a thousand times,...Communication is KEY! Effective communication and sharing is quite crucial in relationships. Discuss these pivotal subjects to better acquaint, inform and increase understanding between you and your partner. These are things that can't be ignored, these issues need addressed as they can weight on a new relationship if not resolved.

1. Your financial history. How you manage your money is important to share with your partner.
  • Talk about your credit history, including whether you've ever been unable to pay your bills, if you make it a point to pay bills on time, and the extent of your debt.
  • Also, you'll want to know if your partner is a "saver" or a "spender."
  • Even if some of your money management history isn't optimal, this is a topic to be fully open about when you're about to solidify your relationship.
2. Thoughts about religion. How important is your faith? What religious traditions do you follow? Do you and your partner need to make some changes to incorporate your spiritual aspects into your relationship?

3. Ideas about having children and parenting. You might feel like your relationship is a long way from reaching a point where you need to discuss having kids. But if you're thinking of marriage, this is a necessary talk to have first.
  • Some questions to answer include: whether you want to have kids in the future, the kind of discipline you want to practice, and how many kids you want.
  • Also, finding out your mate's desires in these areas will also serve to make your life path together smoother.
  • Parenting ideas and beliefs are often emotionally loaded topics and should surely be explored together prior to marriage, especially if one or both of you already have children.
  • If this is a point of contention between you, then come to an agreeable solution or move your separate ways. Don't expect to change someone's mind or sweep this issue under the carpet!
4. Your career goals. Have you considered how your career goals will be impacted by your relationship? Your work life and career aspirations are especially important because they stand to be drastically affected by your decision to marry or reside with your partner.
  • Inform your partner how much you aspire to career-wise. This is something they deserve to be aware of as your career pursuits can alter both of your lives.
5. Favorite ways to spend "down time." How you prefer to spend your spare time is integral to your relationship. After all, if you love to read and your partner is an avid sports fan and prefers to socialize with others, some disagreements could result.
  • Being aware of these preferences will go a long way toward a less bumpy road ahead for the two of you. Can you imagine not knowing your cherished partner loves to play drums in his spare time and finding that out after you marry?
6. Other life aspirations. When talking with your partner, consider all of your life goals.
  • Traveling to France, attending a sign language class, doing volunteer work, or even taking in foster children might be on the list.
  • When you consider these examples, it's easy to recognize why you and your partner can benefit by discussing goals in advance of marriage.
7. Discuss any other subjects you or your partner wants to know about. The purpose of this is to clear up anything else that's nagging at you regarding your own life or your partner's. This will help to address any doubts or questions either of you might have.
  • Doings this allows the both of you to start your precious time together with a clean slate.
Remember to try speaking openly and honestly about these topics before marriage will improve your communication and your mutual understanding. That should be just what your relationship needs...if it doesn't work and you feel like you are chasing your tail in circles, you may want to rethink your relationship?
