Did you know that statistics state that women’s waist sizes have grown by six inches over the past 60 years? Do you wonder why? They say that it is because they don’t do as much housework as their forebears.  They also don’t have the benefit of modern household appliances, 1950s housewives used to burn up to 1,000 calories a day simply by doing the chores. However, today’s women have much more sedentary lifestyles, as many work full-time and spend most of the day sitting behind a desk.The extra elbow grease needed for cleaning, washing and sweeping in the 1950s meant that the average middle-aged woman had a 28-inch waist. Today, the average measurement is 34 inches. These days women are no size "0" or even a 2 or 4. We are not built in that shapely way that our mothers were and men just have to find a way to deal with it. I'm offended to hear how many men said that they wouldn't want to date a women over a size 4. Really? I'm sorry that would wipe out my entire circle of friends.

Women are not the same as years ago and for many reasons our bodies have certainly changed. We exercise less, we eat more, or we eat foods that have things in them that some 50+ years ago they didn't. Should we be punished for this? No. I am content being a size 8. Sure I would like to get back to my old size 6 but menopause kicked in last summer and my entire body changed. It's taken me a year to figure out what to do to fix it. A new survey has found that nearly half of men would dump a woman who gained too much weight. The poll, of 70,000 people across the United States showed that 48 per cent of men would not want to be with their partner if she became fat. By contrast just 20 per cent of women would stop seeing their man when faced with the situation. The poll found that over a third of men believed that women started to loose their looks at the age of 40, while a quarter believe that a woman is beyond her prime after 50. What does this mean to us gals over a size 4? It means think twice before you let that deluxe chocolate chip cookie enter your mouth!

 Another well known fact is that men want to date women who are fun and attractive. Attraction, as you well know, is a chemical kind of thing and it just happens, so good luck avoiding it when it does. And fun, frankly, is an attitude, an ever vigilant determination to find the element of play in any given situation  certainly something you could cultivate, but not a physical attribute. Best of all, if you and a guy are having fun together, chances are the attraction thing is happening too.

Women that were “pleasantly plump” (obese) were seen as beautiful because their size suggested that they would be good child bearers and mothers. Skinny women back in those days were looked upon as poor and malnourished.Today they are what makes so many women sick, especially young girls because society has taught us that it's all about skinny and having no body fat.

2. Porn
A good portion of the guys out there watch insane amounts of porn, sad but true. Almost all of these porn models have perfect asses, skinny legs and arms and big breasts. To a guy, porn is like a sacrament. It is how most guys learn about sex and what a girl looks like with her clothes off. I would go as far as saying that porn for most guys is like having a second girlfriend. 4. Bragging rights with the guys...all men feel the need to do it.
Most guys like to show off their skinny trophy girlfriends to their friends and the public in general.
