Ladies, it's not everyday that they go out and buy it so don't expect your partner to be a real rocket scientist when it comes to finding the perfect piece of lingerie for you. Chances are they are going to be clueless as to what you desire. This is not a bad thing; in fact, I would much rather have someone read these tips prior to going out shopping for lingerie that they know nothing about.
First of all, don't let the big names fool you. As good as some of them are, and there are actually quite a few, there are other smaller boutiques and online lingerie stores, like mine Simply Delicious Lingerie or Simply Luscious Lingerie that offer great prices and 'wow' factor customer service. If I were a guy, I'd much rather shop online where you can click away to your hearts content trying to view the selections, and there are a lot of them. Online stores, such as mine can offer prices for less because we don't have all the bulky overhead of the brick and mortar store. This equals; more bang for your buck!
OK, so you don't want to be in a rush when you are doing this. It would be like you flying out the door to golf wearing the wrong pair of shoes so listen to her needs because you certainly DO NOT want to buy her something that is going to be painful to wear. You don't want it if it is too small, too big, too tight, too loose, or has too many gadgets to undo in the bedroom. Trust me, that will take all the fun and foreplay right out of it for sure!
In due respect of the guys here…allow me to try to make this as painless as possible. There are a few steps to go through when searching for the perfect intimate apparel for your partner.
1) Keep it really simple. Know her style and her preference. What is she comfortable in? Does she feel good in her own skin because you know, if you buy her something that you like and not put her needs into consideration here she may not be so excited to slip into it if it shows too much skin!
2) Don't be extravagant with finding something exquisite with a lot of strings, ties, snaps and clasps because as sexy as they may look, you can kill the mood trying to get her out of a simple piece that has too many gadgets. by then, trust me, the thrill is probably already gone for her.
3) Be selective in your color. Think about the color of her eyes as well as her hair color. I love white, black, perhaps red or pinks even. These are good colors for myself, but not every woman. DO NOT buy her leopard prints or wacky colors and patterns if it isn't something that she would normally wear in regular clothing. She doesn't want to look like "jane of the jungle" and if you screw up you'll be the Tarzan in the tree house eating dinner solo with a bag of ice on your manhood with no romance in store for you tonight.
Go by the color of her eyes, and the tones of her skin. Let me try to give you some examples; blonde's tend to look better in pastel colors. Light pinks, baby blues, violets, and perhaps even shades of green. Keep in mind that too dark of a color cause your face and skin tones to be washed out and trust me, this won't flatter her at all. Brunettes….we look fabulous in strong colors, earth tones mostly. Stick with the colors that are not so light that they fade out the primary focus (her!) Redheads look fantastic in bright sassy colors such as red, emerald greens, bright vibrant blues and even purples. Of course, earth tones work well for them also.

My advice is to opt for a more opaque fabric because she may not want something see-through.
