For many of us, warm climate only comes along for a few months out of the year, and although I love warm weather, finding a new swimsuit was never an easy task for me. Like many, I tend to pick up extra weight during the winter months as it is cold and snowy where I live and I don't want to leave the house…so I eat. Spring is cram mode where you realize that you've packed on a few extra pounds and it is crunch time to sweat it off to exercise so that you can begin looking for the perfect bathing suit.
Most all of us have a part of our body that we have issues with and try to hide. Some women have no breasts, for some theirs are too big. You may have a flat tush, or yours may be one big booty. Buy a wrap or dress to accommodate your swimwear as not everyone is secure enough to walk around without being a little covered up.
Before you hit the sandy beach or pool, do make certain that you know the fabric that your swimwear is made of. Might I suggest lycra, nylon, or polyester? These hug your figure and remain in tact adhering to your torso well. Do beware of other materials that you are not familiar with wearing as they may not serve the purpose you need. I say this because when I was younger, a good friend of mine and myself went bathing suit shopping and we found a really pretty 2 piece bikini. What we didn't quite understand the material that it was made, which btw, it was of mostly terrycloth. Story to be told and lesson to be learned, when my friend jumped in the pool, the swimsuit swelled up 3 times the size leaving her embarrassed and trying to decide how to get out of the pool and get into a towel without drawing too much attention to herself. We managed. She cried, then later we both laughed about it. After a while, she did get over the humiliation nonetheless, there was a lesson learned that day.
