Don't Get Your Panties in a Bunch…

Have you ever been at an airport, a ball game, a cookout, at a concert, a local grocery store or even a restaurant when you saw a woman walking around with toilet paper stuck to her shoe or worse, her dress or skirt caught in her pantyhose or panties leaving her tush to bare for all to see? What would you do? My grandmother used to always sing to me "I see England, I see France, I see Shelly's underpants!" Back in the day when I was a kid, that was funny…today, not so funny. To be publicly embarrassed is so not cool. 

This morning I was out and about picking up my favorite asiago cheese bagels for breakfast when a woman stormed past me to the line to place her order with her dress caught up in her panties. People were looking at her and chuckling, but no one was saying anything. I even saw a few people with their phones out and most likely taping this ordeal. This all happened quite fast…I sat back for all of about 10 seconds before I walked up behind her, leaned over her shoulder and said "forgive me please, but your thank me in a minute, as I gave her dress a tug!' As I grabbed onto her dress she turned around with a bright red face and teary eyes all the while knowing that this popular joint was full of both men, women and children and she was probably wondering to herself how many people saw her like this? 

My question is why? Why would you let someone get from the ladies room to the checkout without saying anything at all? Common courtesy says 'help a gal out here!' I would hope that if this ever happened to me that someone would immediately jump in. Sure it may be really funny for a minute or two but this woman will remember this FOREVER! 

The moral of the story is this; do a good deed. Don't let a sista walk around with her panties in a bunch and her dress caught baring all without coming to her rescue. The great news is that out of this tragedy, I made a new friend and gained a possible new customer at my lingerie store. This woman was really fortunate to have been wearing nice undies which was a plus for her and I did compliment her on that. Not only did I help a girl out, rather I gave her my business card and invited her to shop for women's lingerie sets at my online boutique. Little did I know that she was in the fashion industry just passing through town as she introduced herself to me. After thanking me for all that I did to keep her from total humiliation, she told me that she was going to find a better way to thank me some day. I hear it at least 5 times a day in our Q&A Fashionista letters to Tantalizing Tina. People ask what women are afraid of? Some might say that women hide behind their baggy clothes… women don't know how to dress sexy enough,… women are not willing to let down their guard down, or some women just aren't the right size or shape to pull off lingerie. My response here is going to be short and sweet. Whomever is making these accusations and comments obviously has never slipped into a piece of lingerie before. It has been said that confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can wear…so why then might some of us be less reluctant to slither into it? We all have insecurities folks.

Women do not hide behind their clothes for a reason, and no, not all women do know how to dress. From a woman's point of view, we do put up shields, and our guard can be up like Fort Knox. Often we do hide behind a huge wall but this is for many reasons. None of us are the perfect size or shape. Some of us have fatty pockets where others may not, and some of us may not have been blessed with hooters of great size. Some of us after childbirth sag more or have larger hips…so what? Love Don't Cost a Thing… Little Things that Women Appreciate

Perhaps there is nothing to celebrate, but what woman in her right mind doesn't like surprises? The truth is, women love when their partners become more affectionate and do things for them…but I'm not talking huge things…I am talking small potatoes here. It doesn't hurt for your partner to try to be a little romantic. It's those little things that make women fall in love and they make such a big difference in a relationship if you remember to do it once in a while. J-Lo sang it…"Love Don't Cost a Thing."

There are 3 words that every woman longs to hear and can never get sick of hearing and those words are 'I love you.' If you are in a relationship or if you are married these words should flow from your mouth easily. Now, be it as it may, some men find these words challenging or difficult to say. Some men will wallow their way around those words and when a woman asks "honey, what are 3 words that you can say that would make someones day" she doesn't want to hear him say "9 o'clock tee-time." Surely all of this doesn't mean that he does not love her, it just means that not all men are good at communicating such deep thoughts verbally, so in that case he needs to learn how to use his body language to express himself. What do I mean by this? Romance her with your eyes, stroke her hair and kiss her behind the neck, pull her close and kiss her.
